Chow Mane is a Chinese-American rapper and producer from San Jose, CA. His debut EP, “Mooncakes,” is an exploration of the Asian American experience through his own eyes.
Chow began rapping at age 12 and producing at age 14. Now 22, he has become versatile in both rapping and producing, influenced from artists ranging from MF DOOM to Lil Wayne; MC Jin to Smokepurpp. A graduate of UC Berkeley, Chow is able to comfortably tackle the topics of identity and culture while remaining lighthearted and comedic. To some, Chow is borderline satire; but make no mistake, he is not joking. His lyrics draw deeply from his experience as an Asian American, and his offbeat production style guarantees that no two songs sound the same.
