Tell us your real names, country of birth, date of birth and childhood experience.

Peter Gray Jr, 4/ 12/ 95, USA

I grew up playing basketball that’s  all I knew my whole life and all I did as a kid. From running neighborhood to neighborhood or playing til the sun came down at the Tangle wood courts. I always have been a big fan of music but it’s really grown on me over the past few years.

Tell us about your music career, your band name, musical background, experience and skills.

I just started writing music a couple years ago with a few of the guys I hanged out with. It started as kind of just doing it in our spare time but I started to write more , go to studios more and started listening to a lot more music. Over the years I’d said my passion for music has definitely grown.

Tell us about your genre, concept and idea behind your music video and the song.

I mainly make hip hop conscious rap music or soul rap. The idea and concept that I have is #StayHumble Always #StayTrue Have #NoFear so whenever I write it’s based on something I went through or presently going through or something I’ve seen with my eyes.

Tell us everything that we need to know about you as a musician and the ups and downs you have faced in the music business.

If I’m going to do anything I will try to be eventually one of the best at it. Like how rappers like Kendrick, J cole, Dave East, Logic built a foundation for themselves and went with it and trusted in it but most importantly staying true to who they were and look where that had brought them. I’m still at the beginning stage so I’m still learning as I go along but I know there is always going to be ups and downs and one  just have to keep on moving forward.

Tell us about other members of your band, music producer, crew or music video director, how the song was recorded and how the music video was shot.

Right now I  have solid guys with me and I am still trying to build up my team. My music producer Jelani Kwesi who did all the mixing and mastering is one of the best . Also got a few of my guys Domo, Jay Scott, & Roam Coston we were all in the studio when the track was recorded and there’s no video yet but will be coming soon.

Tell us how long you have been in the music industry, your experience and your future goal.

I started writing and recording music a couple of years ago but I had said over the years I got more serious about it. My goal and dream now is to try and get a record deal.

Tell us what inspires you to write, compose and sing.

I’ve been through a lot in my life up till this point and making music is my way through all of it. I may not have been able to get out of it if it wasn’t for me writing about it and just getting it off my chest when I can’t vent to anybody else.

Tell us the secret behind making a hit song.

I think the secret is to just be yourself and do it for yourself. If you do it that way you’ll be able to live with it no matter what the results are.

Tell us the message you will like to pass to your fans out there.

To my fans if I have any I just want to say to #StayHumble Have #NoFear Always  #Staytrue and you could beat the odds and do anything you put your mind no matter what situation you don’t let what your going through stop you from achieving greatness and chasing your dreams.

Tell the kind of advice you will give to an upcoming artist.

I’m still an upcoming artist myself so to others I would say instead of trying to bring other artist down let’s help each other get to where we all trying be . We all get our time to shine just be patient and stay on your grind.

Elaborate on your music careers, albums, songs, tours, recognition or awards you might have obtained.

I have dropped some previous work on my soundcloud just few songs every now and then my new EP that I just dropped is definitely the start of something big.

Name five biggest artists that you look up to like idols.

Jay Z, Nas, J Cole, Dave East, Los .

Name the artists you have collaborated with before in your songs or artists you are willing to collaborate with in the future if you have the chance to do so.

I haven’t really collaborated with any artist like that besides my guy Roam Coston, but I’m definitely trying to record with Cole, Dave East, Cozz, Kendrick, Chaz French, Phil Ade, Jay IDK if I get a chance to work with some local artists as well as the ones that are big that would be dope.

Tell us about your happiest day and saddest day.

The happiest day for me would be getting a call from a record label saying that they wanted to sign me and being able to tell that to my folks.

The saddest day might be the day I am giving up because that’s something that I could never see myself doing.
