I’ve been making music since middle school but only have been taking it serious in the last 2 years, since then a collective was formed called SKULK which is a music, skating and art platform to show your what your good at. I was raised on hip-hop/rap influenced from my mom also rock & roll, blues, jazz, R&B and reggae influenced from my dad.

.

Tell us about your genre, concept and idea behind your music video and the song.

The genre is hip-hop/rap but I’ve been experimenting trying new things to try to be more flexible as an artist, the concept for the song was introducing myself and our wave of music as the “Nextgen” or the next generation.

.

.

Tell us everything that we need to know about you as a musician and the ups and downs you have faced in the music business.

I’m just trying to make the dopest music possible with others in my crew that are down to get where I wanna be, I work with a lot of talented people and it’s a hustle just trying to balance everything with a full time job and college.

.

.

Tell us about other members of your band, music producer, crew or music video director, how the song was recorded and how the music video was shot.

Chief Klandestine & Donknow and two talented producers from our SKULK collective. The beat for this song was done by Spunk Bigga though. The song was recorded at K-HAM CA’s spot in a basement rental in Kensington market, Toronto on a blue yeti USB mic and his MacBook Pro mounted on a folding deck chair.

.

.

Tell us how long you have been in the music industry, your experience and your future goal.

Been making music for about 6 years but only taking it serious in the past 2, it’s been a learning experience every step just trying to see every angle of the industry, the end goal is to live comfortable with the people I care about and continue to make timeless music.

.

.

.

Tell us what inspires you to write, compose and sing.

My inspiration comes from hearing hip-hop at a young age and not having a way to reflect the hardships I dealt with when I was young, but I found music to be a therapeutic and engaging way to express myself .
