Tell us your real names, country of birth, date of birth and childhood experience.

Wesley Harris is my name. I was born in the U.S. on August 22, 1992, and grew up in Philadelphia, P.A. Grew up in a single household, as my parent`s split when I was young. Aside from the typical problems that brings to a child, my father was laid off from his previous job, and was forced to move into one of the rougher areas in Philly. That`s when I had my eye`s opened, and I draw a lot of the inspiration for my music comes from my experiences there and the things I saw growing up.

Tell us about your music career, your band name, musical background, experience and skills.

Originally, I was dead set on going into the military. One night, I was randomly invited by a friend of mine to go to the studio with him so I could hear a track he was working on. We started drinking then freestyling, and finally eventually i just decided to record myself. Really liked how I sounded, and haven`t looked back since. I also dabble in Jazz piano from time to time.

Tell us about your genre, concept and idea behind your music video and the song.

I’ve got somewhat of an old-head mentality when it comes to rap/hip hop. The very first album I ever heard was “The Infamous” by Mobb Deep, which my uncle bought for me when I was young. Album completely blew me

away, and for the longest time I yearned for something that could capture the sound of an era like that album.

“Fool`s Gold” is a concept track, partially inspired by Nas`s “I gave you power”. The idea of this track is God being fed up with peoples overly materialistic nature, and so he sends Death to “cleanse” the world.

Tell us everything that we need to know about you as a musician and the ups and downs you have faced in the music business.

I`m eclectic, so I don`t just limit myself to one sound or style. My heart will forever be connected to that golden age 90`s grit, but I also try to capture sounds that are popping today, plus avenues that have yet to be explored in rap/ hip hop, I`m completely independent, so the ups and downs would just be the typical obstacles associated with doing everything on your own. The goal right now is just to keep creating quality content to strengthen my fan base.

.

Tell us about other members of your band, music producer, crew or music video director, how the song was recorded and how the music video was shot.

Solo artist for the time being.

.

.
.

Tell us how long you have been in the music industry, your experience and your future goal.

Started in April of this year, so I`m young in the game. Everyday is a new rope learnt and a new obstacle worth tackling. My goal right now is to just continue increasing my exposure and fan base.

.
.
.

Tell us what inspires you to write, compose and sing.

I take a lot from my personal experiences, but also sometimes draw inspiration from stories I’ve heard from people I’ve met that come from all walks of life. Think of each EP and future album release as a film, with each track being a scene within that film.

.
.
.

Tell us the secret behind making a hit song.

Ha, I’ll know when I find out I have one. If I had to guess, I`d say a combination of creativity and familiarity.

.

Tell us the message you will like to pass to your fans out there.

.
.
.

Tell the kind of advice you will give to an upcoming artist.

Find a niche and hit it hard. Communicate with your fans that are helping you grow. Find out why they like you in the first place, and focus less on getting signed. Saw a quote that said something like you only need 1000 dedicated fans that will support and purchase all content you release, to survive off your music. Focus on getting that fan base. Really changed my perspective on things.

.
.
.

Elaborate on your music careers, albums, songs, tours, recognition or awards you might have obtained.

Nothing particularly noteworthy yet, but it’ll happen eventually. I have however, had a few people with big buzz hit me up so I’m in the process of throwing some track ideas around with them.

Tell us how you write your lyrics, compose, sing and record in the studio.

I write only when I feel it; the time varies. I can spend a day or two writing a song, or few weeks. Just depends on if the feelings are there.
