Tell us about your music career, your band name, musical background, experience and skills.

I’ve been singing and playing harmonica all my life. Later in young adulthood, I became known as the Acid Cowboy because of my trip rock acid sound and outlaw spirit of a modern-day cowboy. I formed my first live-performing band in Tampa, FL about 10 years under the name of Six Shot Seven. In the summer of 2016 is when I met my producer Jordan Chini and we began the magic/ makings of my debut album: Joker Gypsy Country Hippy.

.

Tell us about your genre, concept and idea behind your music video and the song.

Blues/Rock/Country/Grunge . As a kid, I was drawn to the sounds of Morrison, The Doors… Cool Midnight Swagger is my interpretation of the spirit of Jim Morrison in all of us artists/dreamers who move to Hollywood to pursue that path. I wanted to pay homage to Morrison’ dream of being a film maker before his career took off with the Doors. The music video is inspired by both Morrison’s short film that he directed “HWY: An American Pastoral” and Oliver Stone’s “The Doors”.

Tell us everything that we need to know about you as a musician and the ups and downs you have faced in the music business.

Just like everything in life, nothing comes easy. Nothing has been handed to me. I wasn’t born into a famous or even wealthy family. However, I’ve always known that I was meant to be an entertainer. Performing live is one of the best feelings in the world…better than any effect of alcohol or drugs. Timing in everything. Band life in Tampa, FL in the mid 2000’s was a good learning process. Then my nomadic path brought me to LA and now in less than a year, I have just finished my 9th track and 2nd music video.

.

Tell us about other members of your band, music producer, crew or music video director, how the song was recorded and how the music video was shot.

Jordan Chini: Jordan’s one of the most talented musicians I’ve ever met. He can play almost anything and makes it look so easy. And he’s pretty cool to work with.

Nozomi Yamaguchi: Guitar from Japan.

Release my songs/videos, live shows. Inspire an audience.

.

Tell us what inspires you to write, compose and sing.

Difficult to say…inspiration can hit at any moment. Could be out of loneliness, could be out of being around too many fake-flaky Hollywood people. Or maybe I just took that extra shot of whiskey sent me over and I had to scribble my next lyrics.

.

.

.

Tell us the secret behind making a hit song.

I think when the message is a universal one that everyone can relate to…or sometimes it’s just some dumb catchy melody. Ha!

.

.

.

Tell us the message you will like to pass to your fans out there.

Thank you for taking the time to listen to my music. I know there are so many options out there and I really appreciate you taking the time. And I look forward to entertaining you live soon!!

.

Tell the kind of advice you will give to an upcoming artist.

Don’t 2nd guess your instinct. If you see an opportunity pursue it.

Taking breaks here and there to find inspiration is cool.

.

.

.

Tell us how you write your lyrics, compose, sing and record in the studio.

Sometimes my lyrics come to me driving, working out etc. anywhere anytime. Other times when I make myself sit and write I close my eyes and use my third eye to see stories appear and then write about them. Other times I just play the guitar and improve.

Name the artists you have collaborated with before in your songs or artists you are willing to collaborate with in the future if you have the chance to do so.
