Animales

Tell us your real names, country of birth, date of birth and childhood experience.
Animales is formed by Javier Díaz (Lead Vocals, Guitars, Synths), Cristóbal Dante González (Drums and Programming) and Cristóbal Arriagada (Synths) and we are from Santiago, Chile.

.

.

.

Tell us about your music career, your band name, musical background, experience and skills.
Our name is ‘Animales’, and we are Santiago de Chile-based Indie-Pop band. We played in different bands earlier from different styles. We started with the idea of having some uplifting songs for our live shows, and suddenly we realized that we got a new concept in our hands.

.

.

.

Tell us about your genre, concept and idea behind your music video and the song.
We make mainly Indie Pop. The song and the video tells the story of a God and a Goddess who lives on an out-world paradise when suddenly they realize that their children had died on earth. ‘Dioses’ is a gloomy rendition of a dying civilization and the pleas to their deaf gods. A contrast between wealth and poverty that ends in a fatal climax.

.

.

.

Tell us everything that we need to know about you as a musician and the ups and downs you have faced in the music business.

We like to have a great time doing music, but sometimes the struggle is real.

.

.

.

Tell us about other members of your band, music producer, crew or music video director, how the song was recorded and how the music video was shot.
The featured EP of four songs was recorded at Estudios Triana and Zen Estudios on Santiago de Chile by Nacho Soto Kallens and Lego Moustache (Astro). It was Produced and Mixed by Cristóbal Dante González and Mastered by Tom Coyne at Sterling Sound, NY (Adele, Beyonce, The Weeknd). The video was directed and animated by the Dutch video artist, Elise The (www.elisethe.com) using real actors in first instance and later on, rotoscoping animation techniques.

.

.

.

Tell us how long you have been in the music industry, your experience and your future goal.
We have played in different bands on different music styles since we were teenagers. Now we would like to show our art to everyone through music, videos and also live shows to most people we could.

.

.

.

Tell us what inspires you to write, compose and sing.
We are inspired from telling dreamy stories some based on a personal perspective, but sometimes taking the imaginary to an out-world scenario and sometimes something just earthly. But that inspiration and imaginary could came from a book, a movie, or just a conversation.
