Tell us your real names, country of birth, date of birth and childhood experience.

My name is Brendan Buckley. I was born in Auckland, New Zealand on April 15th, 1998. I lived in Auckland until I was about eight years old. My family then moved to the Cayman Islands and then on to Dubai, where I lived until I went to school in the United States to study music. After graduating, I moved to London full time where I am now pursuing my artistic career.

Tell us about your music career, your band name, musical background, experience and skills.

I am a solo artist and work under my real name. I played in bands when I was younger but knew that I eventually wanted to focus on my individual sound. I play guitar, piano, bass, drums and I sing as well as rap. I also produce and engineer my music.

.

.

.

Tell us about your genre, concept and idea behind your music video and the song.

I tend to sit in the cross between rap, R&B, and pop. My new single “Night Vision” is an homage to 80’s synth sounds, paired with bottom heavy 808’s.

Tell us everything that we need to know about you as a musician and the ups and downs you have faced in the music business.

Creating a networking has been difficult as I’ve only been in London for just over a year now. It’s been a challenge for me, as it is for every artist, to get my music in the right places and out to a potential fan base. London, however, is really the best possible city to start out in.

.

.

Tell us about other members of your band, music producer, crew or music video director, how the song was recorded and how the music video was shot.

I made the beat in my parent’s kitchen about six months ago on vacation and happened to stumble upon it the other day. I freestyled a couple of ideas and eventually came up with the concept of “Night Vision”. I then wrote the rest of the song around the hook.

.

.

.

Tell us how long you have been in the music industry, your experience and your future goal.

My introduction to the industry was playing shows with my band in Dubai, where we won “Best Under 18 Band in the Middle East”. My next contact with the industry was going on a tour of mid west America with a band from my school. As of now, I’m getting into contact with artists, producers, and promoters in the UK scene. Within the next six months, I hope to work collaboratively with London based artists and perform live on a regular basis.
