Tell us about your music career, your band name, musical background, experience and skills.

Started rapping around 2001 or 2002, wasn’t the best at first but continued to work on my craft and learn how to become a better artist.  Stage name, Nahledge, which of course is pronounced “knowledge.”   That was the name that I started using initially, and have kinda wanted to change it over the last 5 years or so but my real name “Chris Brown” is obviously the name of another famous artist so I’ve just stuck with it.

.

.

Tell us about your genre, concept and idea behind your music video and the song.

The genre of my music is hip-hop and the song “Glory” is really meant to be an encouraging type of track.  Everybody everywhere goes through hard times and being a man of faith I believe that God’s hand is on my life so no matter what I go through I’ll always give Him glory.   So whenever I first heard this instrumental with the gospel sample on it, I knew I had to get on it.

Tell us everything that we need to know about you as a musician and the ups and downs you have faced in the music business.

For me as an artist, my main goal is to make dope music with some substance.  Give listeners something to chew on, outside of just talking about pill popping, smoking, drinking, sex, and money chasing.

Overall, I’ve been a fairly unknown artist.  Some of that is probably due to my own lack of hustle, and some due to the fact that living in Pittsburgh, PA it’s not easy to make it in the music industry.

.

.

.

Tell us about other members of your band, music producer, crew or music video director, how the song was recorded and how the music video was shot.

I’m solo, however this track was produced by a fairly well known producer named DJ Pain 1 and a newer producer Ovrthro.

.

.

.

Tell us how long you have been in the music industry, your experience and your future goal.

I’ve been making music for about 15 years now.  I’ve taken it more seriously at times than others, but I’m at the point where it’s now or never so I’m giving it all I have and we’ll see what happens.

.

.

.

Tell us what inspires you to write, compose and sing.

I’m inspired by everyday life, and the things that go on around me.  Also, my faith in Christ inspires me and whenever I write, you’ll get pieces of all of my inspirations, the good, the bad and the ugly.

.

Tell us the secret behind making a hit song.

To me, the secret is a dope beat, a catchy hook, and some ill lyrics.  That’s the secret sauce, but it’s not really a secret I guess because if you don’t know that as an artist you’re probably not really an artist yet.

.

Tell us how you write your lyrics, compose, sing and record in the studio.

When I write a song, I usually come up with the hook first, then write my verses.  I always have the beat first, because that normally sets the tone for my writing.

.

Name five biggest artists that you like.

Jay-z, Nas, Lecrae, Eshon Burgundy, J. Cole… honorable mention for the new guy Nick Grant.

.

.

.

Name the artists you have collaborated with before in your songs or artists you are willing to collaborate with in the future if you have the chance to do so.

Haven’t really had any big collaboration in the past, however I’m open to working with a lot of different artists as long as we’re on the same wave.

Tell us about your happiest day and saddest day.

My happiest day…. Was the day I realized that I have a calling and a purpose in this world.  I don’t think I’ve had my saddest day yet, not really looking forward to it but I know it will come one day.

Tell us how you will spend a million dollars.

After the government takes half, I guess I’ll take the other 500k & spend some on a house a new whip and bills, then take the rest and try to turn it into 2 million dollars.
