I won several music competitions when I lived in England like; Battle of the Vox, and iLod which was a Norwegian songwriting competition.
Tell us about your genre, concept and idea behind your music video and the song.
I write pop and commercial music with the background of being a singer /songwriter.
Tell us everything that we need to know about you as a musician and the ups and downs you have faced in the music business.
Music is a broad language and for me it has taken some time to find the right producers to work with. But the last two years I have found people that I connect well with and we are now collaborating on my EP, and other featuring songs that I am doing.
Tell us about other members of your band, music producer, crew or music video director, how the song was recorded and how the music video was shot.
The song I have sent to you “Still Alive” was written by me, Helienne, and Tony Verdult. We met each other at a songwriting camp in the Netherlands. I felt that Tony (who’s the producer) really understood me as a singer and I’m very happy with the way he produced my vocals.
Tell us how long you have been in the music industry, your experience and your future goal.
I have been in the music industry for 15 years now. My goal has always been to get my music spread worldwide. I want as many people as possible to hear my music.
Tell us what inspires you to write, compose and sing.
There are many things that inspires me. Especially other singers/songwriters that I’m a fan of. And that is mostly American artists and songwriters.
Tell us the secret behind making a hit song.
I think what makes a good song is if you have a clear point of view in the chorus that people can relate to, and a vocal that stands out then you got something really good.
Tell us the message you will like to pass to your fans out there.
I hope my music can support you in your different daily situations. That is what music does to me. I can be sad, but then I put on an uplifting song and I start dancing in front of the mirror. I want you to do the same with my song. Put it on and dance in front of the mirror. And be glad that you’re “Still Alive”. We never know how much time we have on this earth.
Tell the kind of advice you will give to an upcoming artist.
Just know that this road is not gonna be easy and you’ll have to be able to handle a lot of resistance. So enjoy the happy moments. And just do your best.

I won the Battle of the Vox in the UK. And I won the iLod songwriting competition in Norway. I also won the culture stipendium for up and coming songwriters in Norway. I have a number 1 hit in Korea with a girlgroup called F(x). This was charted on the World Billboard list.

Tell us how you write your lyrics, compose, sing and record in the studio.
I either sit down by the piano and write a melody and then add the lyrics. Or I have some lyrics that I find a melody to. But I also top-line on an instrumental that I make there and then in the studio with the producer. Or I can work on something that he has already made.

I would first of all give away some money to people that really need it. Then I would spend some money on my upcoming album, and make a really nice music video. And hopefully I would generate more money with my music so that I would be able to help even more people.
