Tell us about your music career, your band name, musical background, experience and skills.

My music career started when I was 16 years old after I left school. I can play the keyboard, sing and write my own songs. I was always too shy to open up in school and sing in front of everyone but I knew it was what I wanted to do, so I went to record two songs under the name ‘Laura Jo’. I didn’t have a great start to my career as the people who were supposed to help me ended up being illegitimate and was only in it for the money. This pushed my confidence back a lot and I actually stopped pursuing my career, but never stopped dreaming I would one day be a successful artist touring different places around the world singing to loads of people. Thanks to the support of my family and friends and decided to carry on and am now in the process of helping producers by adding some vocals on their tracks and I have also been approached by a band to sing a song they have wrote which is so amazing. I also decided to carry on putting out dance with me tonight and a music production and development company took over and are helping mend the mistakes the previous ones did, and are going to give it the proper release it deserves.

Tell us about your genre, concept and idea behind your music video and the song.

When I made dance with me tonight I aimed for it to be a pop/dance number, as I was always used to making slow ballad songs but I really wanted to make something fun and up beat for people to enjoy. Unfortunately I never got around to making a music video (even though I would LOVE to) due to all the complications I faced during the process.

Tell us everything that we need to know about you as a musician and the ups and downs you have faced in the music business.

I experienced downs at the start of my music career where I didn’t have any knowledge on anything which really put my confidence down, but I still continued to go on and now I was offered some help on releasing this song the way it deserves to be. Because of this I have been given multiple opportunities to work with loads of different producers and artists and I am now in the process of recording more and more music which will lead to gigs, which is really exciting.

.

Tell us how long you have been in the music industry, your experience and your future goal.

When I started I was 16 and I only had my mum to help me so we had no knowledge on what we were going into. As I said, I didn’t have the best experience but I pushed myself to make something positive out of it and that’s exactly what happened all because I didn’t give up. My goal is to become a well-known artist with hopes of even going on tour one day and exploring different parts of the world meeting all different people with the same love of music.

Happiest day so far was when I wrote and finished recording “Dance With Me Tonight” I was so proud of myself and didn’t realise I could do something like it. Saddest day was when my dog passed away, we had her for 14 years!
