Tell us about your music career, your band name, musical background, experience and skills.

I have been playing music since middle school and always enjoyed it. Played in some other projects in Boston that didn’t quite work out. I formed the alternative rock project “DANIEL” in 2015 and started recording rough ideas which would develop into the songs you hear now.

Tell us about your genre, concept and idea behind your music video and the song.

Growing up I always dreamed to throw the Best Damn Party. I would go to other parties but was never satisfied. The desire for the best party spawned the song idea. This party would have it all. A place where everyone is welcome and you will never feel alone or judged.

Tell us everything that we need to know about you as a musician and the ups and downs you have faced in the music business.

I am open to all different sounds and like to shake things up. I think it’s very important to do what makes you happy and take chances in music. I am currently living in Los Angeles. As far as this project I set myself a goal. To do something that had no limits. Something raw and unhinged. The album is filled with heavy bass, driving riffs, and soft pianos that slam over energetic melodies. Lyrics inspired by stories of fantasy and folklore, weave tales of bloody roses and wild adventures that make you scream and smile. It’s hard at times because I like to try new things with music and sometimes people don’t get it. I’m hoping to inspire people and provide an escape for them. I cover topics a lot of people struggle with.

Tell us about other members of your band, music producer, crew or music video director, how the song was recorded and how the music video was shot.

I recorded with producer Charles Kallaghan Massabo. Charles is a French record producer, songwriter and musician. Based in Los Angeles, California, he is best known for working with artists like Falling in Reverse, Metro Station and Davey Suicide. He worked as an additional producer and songwriter for American rock band Falling in Reverse’s “Just Like You” Album. Released by Epitaph Records on the 24th of February 2015, it reached number twenty one on the Billboard 200. In the studio I met Mathieu Boots Di Pilla-Guitar/vocalist. Damien Taipan Salis-Drums. For “Best Damn Party” I was in the studio with Charles and we were recording a totally different song. We took a break and I randomly started telling him the idea for “Best Damn Party”. We both laughed. He loved the idea and told me we should do this. The accompanying music video, filmed on location in downtown Los Angeles, was directed by Daniel and Cody Blue, the Los Angeles based videographer and photographer. Cody, through his company, Cody Blue Media, specializes in music videos, fashion, events, and visuals for content creators. The video was shot in 4 hours. We just loaded in there and had fun. Everyone there had a good vibe. We made sure to bring a lot of energy.

Tell us what inspires you to write, compose and sing.

Performing and creating provides an escape from everyday life. There are no rules in the art so you can be whoever you want and do whatever you want. That’s why I enjoy it. Art has never broken my heart or let me down. It has carried me through the hard times and given me a purpose and reason to keep fighting through the times and places where it’s not always possible to be yourself.

Tell us the secret behind making a hit song.

So many different factors go into writing a song. It’s complex. It can start from a single note on a keyboard or a melody that pops in my head randomly. Sometimes the title and concept comes before the actual song. Or the visual I see then I write something based of that. There are many ways it starts.

.

.

Tell us the message you will like to pass to your fans out there.

My message would be to do what makes you happy. Don’t let anyone else harmful or insulting words stop you. Just keep fighting for what you believe in. You are beautiful and deserve respect.

.

Tell the kind of advice you will give to an upcoming artist.

When starting out work with people who are doing what you want to do. It may be hard to reach them but you have to try. They have walked the path you are traveling. Ask successful people for advice. There are no dumb questions. And collaborate with whoever you can. You will learn from working with other musicians and it may even inspire your sound for the better.

Tell us about your happiest day and saddest day.

I’m not sure if I have had the happiest day of my life yet. The saddest day was when my sister had to go in the hospital because she got very sick.

.

Tell us how you will spend a million dollars.

If I had a million dollars I would start my own music and movie company. I would also try and help the homeless and also build a giant shelter for all the stray cats and dogs. I don’t like seeing a kitten outside all scared and alone. It breaks my heart. No one should be left out in the cold like that.
