Tell us your real names, country of birth, date of birth and childhood experience.
We’re a French band from Paris Suburbs, composed of 5 musicians,

Johann Bouffandeau (Guitars/lead vocals)

Adrien Arnaud (Accordion/backing vocals)

Alexandre Chevallier (Bass/Moog/Keyboard)

Claire Wils (Violin/Mandolin)

Pierre Samolany (Drums and Percs)

We’re all coming from the same high schools and the same background.
Our childhood were very different, while our passion for music and harmony have gathered us around this endeavour. But first and for most, we’re all friends and enjoying every moments that life has to offer.

Tell us about your music career, your band name, musical background, experience and skills.
The Band is called Lighthouse Shore, and some might say that this is a name quite difficult to remember. As a matter of fact, this name echoes to our music, and gives a real clue about our
universe. We’re all passionate by nature, the sea and atmospheres, our songs are images from the seaside, landscapes, and depicts a journey through our world.
At first the songs were created and composed by our singer (Johann) just for himself, but he quickly felt the urge to share them and to record with some sincere musicians.
Then the formation, started to work on a live set, and we played in Paris area and other French regions. We’ve all played in different bands before, but our paths crossed numerous times.
We decided to settle things down and to put our hearts at work while recording our first eponymous album which will be released in January 2018.

Tell us about your genre, concept and idea behind your music video and the song.
We play some ballads and other songs with kind of a french touch and a “celtic feel” too. But we can’t be defined by the word “Trad” or “Folk” in their usual way.
The songs are quite atmospheric and contemplative. We can ascertain to be a Folk/Pop/Indie band but these are just words. This first Song is called “Long Way To Go”. The video is the product of a collaboration between Thomas Spiral (Director) and the Band. We’ve been eager for a long time to shoot a music video in a huge industrial warehouse.
Many friends gave some of their time and skills to achieve It. The place is a gigantic Airship Hangar in Normandy in a town called Ecausseville. There’s also some nature scenes in Britanny, and others in a beautiful “Art Deco” House near Paris. A good friend of Us (Louve Dubuc Babinet) is playing the part of the sleeping girl. The song is about new starts, about giving yourself the opportunity to go further and to become better as a human being, far from this world based on ego and on the masks that we wear everyday.

Tell us everything that we need to know about you as a musician and the ups and downs you have faced in the music business.
Well. We’re trying to navigate those troubled waters by being as sincere as possible. By recording what we like, what we feel, and not doing what people expect us to do in some circles. Without imagination and guts the world is dangerously crystallizing in a vegetative state. We haven’t faced some “downs” in the music business, yet, ahah.
The “ups” are the energy that people share with us. And that’s pretty enough for us to overcome everything. But we’ve been working on our first album for a long time behind closed doors.
So let’s see what’s happening next.

.

.

.

Tell us about other members of your band, music producer, crew or music video director, how the song was recorded and how the music video was shot.
We would specially like to thank Pierre Dohey our sound engineer (Live and Studio) who’s making a tremendous work.

.

.

.

Tell us how long you have been in the music industry, your experience and your future goal.
Already 6 years for Lighthouse Shore and that’s just a blast. We’re very proud of our album, and excited to make it travel. The next step, is to spend some quality time on stage, take some time to focus on new songs and perhaps new ways to work.

.

.

.

Tell us what inspires you to write, compose and sing.
Its always about a feeling, about a mental pictures, about a specific light or a sound. It’s also the perpetual need to express what comes from the creative part of ourselves. Sometimes just a landscape through a car window could be a good start. That’s not always easy, inspiration comes and goes, but that’s the magic of it.

.

.

.

Tell us the secret behind making a hit song.
No clue. Please, ask a hit maker.

But you will have the opportunity to Pre-Order It in about 2 weeks from now.

.

.

.

Tell us how you write your lyrics, compose, sing and record in the studio.
It’s always guitar first, and then comes a melody, then the lyrics and then the others instruments. In studio we work at our own pace, trying to serve the song and not to be influenced by technique at
first. Then we find the best means at our disposal to draw our sound.
