VISA P

Tell us your real names, country of birth, date of birth and childhood experience.

Peter, born in USA of Greek descent. Fun overall childhood, not necessarily into music until I was a little older though.

Tell us about your music career, your band name, musical background, experience and skills.

Stage alias has always been “Visa P” sometimes “Visababy” been writing lyrics since a teenager, always been somewhat poetic. My skills at this point are really songwriting (for myself and others) rapping, melodies, song arrangement, HITS!.

.

.

.

Tell us about your genre, concept and idea behind your music video and the song.

My genre is called “KIZOMBA” which is a musical style originating from West African countries (Capeverde, Angola) and also Haiti. My style is unique because I rap and sing melodies in mostly English over Kizomba production. Just released my debut Kizomba album “The Kizomba Kid” available now!.

.

Tell us everything that we need to know about you as a musician and the ups and downs you have faced in the music business.

Been grinding nearly a decade, so you face many ups and downs. If you are passionate enough for something, you will stick through it.

.

.

.

Tell us about other members of your band, music producer, crew or music video director, how the song was recorded and how the music video was shot.

I work alone for the most part, as far as creating records. But I also feature many artists on my music and collaboration with others as well. My closest partners would be my engineer Brady, directors Popo & Fresh P, and photographer ArtNMars. They all help me get out new pics, videos and music.

.

.

.

Tell us how long you have been in the music industry, your experience and your future goal.

I have been focused on Kizomba music since about 2014. My goals are to help commercialize the genre in USA, but also travel globally because of the overseas love this genre gets.

.

.

.

Tell us what inspires you to write, compose and sing.

Life. Whatever experiences I have that I feel like sharing. A form of expression. Without music (and weed) my life would be very stressful I’m guessing.

.

.

.

Tell us the secret behind making a hit song.

No secret formula. Just do your best, stay consistent and one of these songs will hit.

.

.

.

Tell us the message you will like to pass to your fans out there.

Make sure to follow my story and check out the new album! Need all the fan support I can get from everywhere, not just my home state! Appreciate it all.

.

.

.

Tell the kind of advice you will give to an upcoming artist.

Don’t waste time and money trying to make other people happy. Make music that makes you feel good and go with your gut. Don’t expect success overnight if you’re not willing to work for it all the way.

.

.

.

Elaborate on your music careers, albums, songs, tours, recognition or awards you might have obtained.

My albums are “April Showers” (2013) and “The Kizomba Kid” (2017) I’ve performed in MA, RI, and West Virginia. In 2016 I dropped a new single for every month of the year. Have written and executive produced many songs for other singers also.

.

.

.

Tell us how you write your lyrics, compose, sing and record in the studio.

Never write lyrics down at this point. May get a few notes on my phone to remind myself or take down ideas, but I try to be as free as possible when I’m recording. Never want to sound like you reading from something. All the lyrics ideas just come naturally while I’m chilling honestly, listening to beats, smoking, vibing, till I get the idea I’m looking for.
