Tony Answer

Tell us your real names, country of birth, date of birth and childhood experience.

My real name is Anthony Scaglione and I’m from Canada. My birthday is December 5th, 1995, so I’m 21 right now but about to be 22. I was always that quiet, shy, fat kid. I wasn’t popular but had a small group of friends I could rely on. I always felt like I was destined for something bigger, but never really had a clue on what exactly I should do. Fast forward to last year, I sort of went crazy, lost my mind, ruined a lot of relationships and began writing music as a form of therapy.

Tell us about your music career, your band name, musical background, experience and skills.

I wrote my first song last October. I have an EP out. Other than that I have a few songs out on Soundcloud and YouTube, but “Timeless” is what I’m considering as my official debut single. It’s available on all platforms. There’s a music video up on YouTube as well. I actually know how to play bass guitar and a little bit of piano. I was a bass player for a band during high school. We fell apart after a couple years though.

Tell us about your genre, concept and idea behind your music video and the song.

I’m not really sure what genre I put myself in. I just let the mood take me on a journey. This song was written after I ended things with a girl because she reminded me a lot about another girl that I still had feelings for. Essentially it’s about how when you’re in one of those moods, everything feels hopeless and even though it’s been a while; you still get those feelings from time to time.

Tell us everything that we need to know about you as a musician and the ups and downs you have faced in the music business.

To be honest I’m so new I have no ups and downs.

.

.

Tell us about other members of your band, music producer, crew or music video director, how the song was recorded and how the music video was shot.

I got a sound engineer who is also a producer. His name is CALIBERBEATS on all social media. My best friend does my artwork. Shout out Andrew! The music video was shot, edited, filmed and directed by only me.

.

.

Tell us how long you have been in the music industry, your experience and your future goal.

The very first song I released was in January, so I guess 11 months?  I’m still small so I can’t say much.  I’ve met a lot of cool people though. I want to be one of the greats.

Tell us what inspires you to write, compose and sing.

Real life experiences, moods. Sometimes I’ll have conversations with myself in my head. It’s too early to say much but I’m planning taking a new approach on something.

Tell us the secret behind making a hit song.

Honestly, I have no idea. I feel like if you get excited about something when you hear the finished product, other people will too.

.

Tell us the message you will like to pass to your fans out there.

I basically want to show people to not be scared to be real with themselves and to follow their dreams. I think a lot of people use distractions to avoid figuring themselves out.

.

.

.

Tell the kind of advice you will give to an upcoming artist.

Just start. I haven’t even recorded in a professional studio yet. Everything is done in my room.

.

.

.

Elaborate on your music careers, albums, songs, tours, recognition or awards you might have obtained.

Just 1 EP out called “The Bad Trip EP” basically the story of how and why I started making music. It’s actually a pretty depressing project.

Tell us how you write your lyrics, compose, sing and record in the studio.

I find a beat and listen to it a few times and let it take me into a certain mood. Eventually I start freestyling until I have a few lines or a hook and go from there. Once I record a rough I send it to a few people to get feedback, rerecord and send it off to get mixed.

Nas, Eminem, 50 Cent, Blackbear and Kendrick Lamar.

.

Name the artists you have collaborated with before in your songs or artists you are willing to collaborate with in the future if you have the chance to do so.

I collaborated with my sound engineer once, he sings. There’s also a younger rapper from Portugal named EvolStan. I hopped on one of his tracks.

Tell us about your happiest day and saddest day.

If you check out my EP you’ll know both.

Tell us how you will spend a million dollars.

I’m honestly good at budgeting.  Once all the essentials are covered, I’d make one of the craziest music videos ever with a ton of celebrity guest appearances.  Definitely want Gordon Ramsey in it.
