Tell us about your music career, your band name, musical background, experience and skills.

My current stage name is Pharaoh but I am also starting to re-brand myself as LeekyXiv. I have a small fan base at the moment, have been making music since I was a freshman in high school but really got good about senior year.

.

.

Tell us about your genre, concept and idea behind your music video and the song.

“Blues Freestyle” was a song I premiered at my colleges talent show. It was a song I put out that I wanted to be short and show people that I can still rap. It was different from anything I have done in the past and the start to LeekyXiv.

.

Tell us everything that we need to know about you as a musician and the ups and downs you have faced in the music business.

I have often struggled to find a place to record as I do not have my own equipment. I also find it hard to market myself. On the good side I am a very personable person that the more people like me the more they like my music. I have my biggest followings on twitter and snapchat.

.

.

.

Tell us about other members of your band, music producer, crew or music video director, how the song was recorded and how the music video was shot.

“Blues Freestyle” was recorded on my phone on garage band and I did not think it was going to be as well received as it was. Back home I recorded at my friend Andrews house and he was my engineer. Another close friend Joe was my partner in crime and the three of us were a group until Joe moved to Connecticut.

.

.

.

Tell us how long you have been in the music industry, your experience and your future goal.

I have been in the industry for about four years now. My goal is to get a big enough fan base so that I can go on tour and perform at festivals and have a lot of fun.

.

.

.

Tell us what inspires you to write, compose and sing.

Life itself. I’ve been contented with my life and really happy. Music makes me happy and it is something I am passionate about. If nobody else will listen to my music, I will.

.

.

Tell us the secret behind making a hit song.

A true artist never reveals secrets. But you have to be yourself and not imitate others.

.

.

.

Tell us the message you will like to pass to your fans out there.

Live your life without regrets because we only live it once. In the short time we get here, do absolutely whatever it takes for you to be happy.

.

.

.

Tell the kind of advice you will give to an upcoming artist.

Work hard and be yourself. A goal should be to make good enough music to the point where your closest peers choose to share your music themselves.

.

.

.

Tell us how you write your lyrics, compose, sing and record in the studio.

I usually write songs on my phone, practice them frequently, so when I get to the studio I know exactly what I am doing and do not have to read off of my phone.
