Tell us about your music career, band name, musical background, experience and skills.

I started off as a jazz piano-player and slowly evolved into an artist and producer for more electronic genres of music.  I now major in music production at Thornton at USC, where I produce for myself, other artists and do side music projects for apps and games.  I just launched my Artist Project on Soundcloud, Spotify, and other services, so I’m excited about that.

.

Tell us about your genre, concept and idea behind your song.

This song is a collaboration between myself and Madeleine Mayi, and the idea was to blend pop and electronic genres together with a groovy bass-line to keep it fresh.

.

.

Tell us everything that we need to know about you as a musician and the ups and downs you have faced in the music business.

Learning to play jazz music as a teenager really allowed me to expand my music harmonically and melodically.  Most of the melodies I come up with were discovered by messing around, improvising on the piano and then recording something that I liked.  Although music is a competitive business, I often remind myself that there’s nothing I’d rather do.

.

.

.

Tell us about other members of your band, music producer, crew or music video director, how the song was recorded and how the music video was shot.

Right now, my artist project just consists of me, and it features any other songwriters/singers that I collaborate with.  This song was recorded in my home studio as well as in a recording studio in Hollywood.  Madeleine Mayi and I wrote the song together and then I produced it on my laptop.

.

.

.

Tell us how long you have been in the music industry, your experience and your future goal.

I’m currently getting a major in Music Production at USC, and the future goal in addition to my own artist project is to write music for games, apps, TV and film.

.

.

.

Tell us what inspires you to write, compose and sing.

Music has the ability to move people emotionally, but also can have a profound impact on our day to day lives.  If I can get people excited when they listen to my music, then that is awesome and I’ll keep doing it.

.

.

.

Tell us the secret behind making a hit song.

It has to be good, it has to fall into the right hands, and it has to be the right time.

.

.

.

Tell us the message you will like to pass to your fans out there.

If I were to pass along a message to fans, it would be a thank you for the support, because that drives me to continue making music.

.

.

.

Tell the kind of advice you will give to an upcoming artist.

It’s better to chase a dream than to play it safe.

.

.

.

Elaborate on your music careers, albums, songs, tours, recognition or awards you might have obtained.

I just kicked off my Artist project with this single, however I have two other electronic tracks out right now, “Violet” and “Starfish,” that capture slightly different styles of electronic music.

List Radio or TV Stations that are airing your songs and blogs that have featured you as well and send message to them via this platform.

Some other blogs are currently in the process of reviewing some tunes of mine, so stay posted.

.

.

Tell us how you write your lyrics, compose, sing and record in the studio.

I’m very much in-the-box for recording music.  I use Ableton Live for almost everything, and record vocalists in any room that sounds good and isn’t too reverberant.  Usually, I’ll create the track first, and then work with a songwriter to create the top line.  I feel this works best for my creative process.  I usually record other instruments individually into my interface/laptop as well.

Name five biggest artists that you like.

Tennyson, MGMT, Tame Impala, Machinedrum, and 20syl.

.

.

.

Name the artists you have collaborated with before in your songs or artists you are willing to collaborate with in the future if you have the chance to do so.

Just kicked off my Artist project, but there are certainly some secret projects in the works with some great songwriters.
