Tell us about your music career, band name, musical background, experience and skills.

Musical career has predominantly been underground. Super active none the less with small bits and pieces reaching the mainstream. My musical Background  stems from my father who was a rock n roll junkie. Further more years later with my step father who would jam 80s hip hop n reggae all day long.

As far as experience goes I ‘v opened for international sensations as well as local superstars.

Tell us about your genre, concept and idea behind your music video and the song.

Hip hop is a competitive genre, whether or not rappers or singers like to admit it. So I take that in my stride and simply try be the best I can be when writing. The concept of this song is basically aiming for the top despite the adversity’s life may put before you, at the same time staying fly.  The music video which is yet to be completed, visually backs up that concept.

Tell us everything that we need to know about you as a musician and the ups and downs you have faced in the music business.

Lyrically gifted with the tone of a younger less chunky Barry white.

Ups and downs seem constant in this game. For me, memorable losses include not getting on the rapture (Eminem) line up, or missing out on the award for hip hop album of the year a few years back, or having our management crumbled weeks after signing the deal. All in all it’s built me up stringer then before and kept me hungry for bigger & better things. Ups include too many things to mention, good times.

.

Tell us about other members of your band, music producer, crew or music video director, how the song was recorded and how the music video was shot.

Production on this track was made for me personally by my homie shad from SWASS, recorded at 509 studios by my good friend Luke Berryman and shot by an o g by the Name of Abe Mora. Super talented photographer / film maker. We shot the music video at my crib in my studio as well as at a streetball court I grew up playing basketball on as a kid. I’m yet to see and edit yet so I’m hanging out to check how it looks.

.

.

.

Tell us how long you have been in the music industry, your experience and your future goal.

9 years in the game. 4 full albums with my band (the doqument) one of which was a double album. 5 EPS on my own as well as 5 mixtapes. Countless singles and of course my debut album which is still being made. Future goal. Finish this album and travel the globe with my daughters.

.

Tell us what inspires you to write, compose and sing.

Family. Friends. Love and pain. Life itself gives us much to think about hence a lot of my tracks are quite broad as far as themes go.  Anything can inspire me depending on my mood.

Tell us about your happiest day and saddest day.

Happiest day the day I became a father. Then again when my youngest child was born.

Saddest day was when my home got raided by police and I saw my mother in tears. I was only 10. I’ll never forget that day.

Tell us how you will spend a million dollars.

I’d take the fam on holiday, whilst in holiday plan the rest of the holiday. Come home. Buy a humble crib and fill the garage up with fly cars. Pretty boring I know but hey. In all seriousness that’s what I’d do. A million bucks don’t go far in my city.
