Tell us about your music career, band name, musical background, experience and skills. 3. Tell us about your genre, concept and idea behind your music video and the song.

Everybody came from different bands before we started She Rex which we did in 2017.

Many of us played in back up bands to some of Sweden’s biggest artist.

But after years of doing that we all longed to do something on our own and She Rex was formed.

It’s a New Wave. We´re influenced by a lot of 70´s and 80´s music.

We´re like a heavier version of Kim Wilde. Or, we sure would like to be.

.

.

.

Tell us about other members of your band, music producer, crew or music video director, how the song was recorded and how the music video was shot.

Everything so far has been D.I.Y.

We’ve recorded and mixed the album at my studio 306. We’ve shot 2 videos that we shot and edited ourselves.

So everything so far has been done by the band members only.

Which is why this is so much fun. You get to do all the parts yourself. I love that.

The song “Televise” was recorded in a very basic way. Drums first and then the rest.

It may sound like there´s a lot of keyboards on this track, but everything is done by guitars.

.

.

.

Tell us how long you have been in the music industry, your experience and your future goal.

Most of us have worked professionally in the music business for at least 10 years as touring musicians and producers.

With She Rex we just want to have fun. Tour. Make the best music possible and do records. We all love being in the studio. So I think we will continue making new music, no matter if people like us or not. It´s a creative process and it keeps you alive and happy.

.

.

.

Tell us what inspires you to write, compose and sing.

The urge to constantly evolve and write better songs all the time keeps the inspiration going.

It´s a competition against yourself and it´s great.

.

.

.

Tell us the secret behind making a hit song.

Keep it simple. And listen to Tom Petty.

.

.

.

Tell us the message you will like to pass to your fans out there.

We want to congratulate our future fans to their amazing taste in music.

Also thanks!

.

.

.

Tell the kind of advice you will give to an upcoming artist.

That´s what we are pretty much. So believe in what you do and do it. And when you think you work hard, work harder. Someday it will pay off.

.

.

.

Elaborate on your music careers, albums, songs, tours, recognition or awards you might have obtained.

We just started so nothing yet!

Except we’ve made an album that is due out in 2018.

It´s a combination of New Wave, Pop, Rock and even early Punk.

We´re proud of it and can’t wait to release it.

List Radio or TV Stations that are airing your songs and blogs that have featured you as well and send message to them via this platform.

Swedish national radio P3 recently premiered our song.

We´re about to be featured in a couple of blogs later this month, but nothing is out just yet.

.

.

.

Tell us how you write your lyrics, compose, sing and record in the studio.

Usually starts with me having the basic outlines for a song. Like a verse or a chorus.

Then I show it to Björn and we finish it together. Then we bring to the band and they make it to sound good.

Lyrics are divided between Björn and me. Lyrics can be about anything. But we´re both mega fans of horror movies and pop culture from the 70´s and 80´s. So there´s a lot of flirting with that going on in our lyrics.

We could probably make an entire record about how much we like the move Jaws.

We won’t. But we could.

.

.

Name five biggest artists that you like.

Easy!

Foo Fighters, Kiss, Blondie, ELO and Queens of the Stone Age.

.

.

.

Name the artists you have collaborated with before in your songs or artists you are willing to collaborate with in the future if you have the chance to do so.

If we had the chance…Jeff Lynne would have been awesome.

Swedish producer Klas Åhlund would have been awesome too.
