Tell us your real names, country of birth, date of birth and childhood experience.

We are Surfbois Inc, and it all started in 2015 when Jose first started making EDM music, eventually we put our minds together in 2016 and thought it’d be a good idea to make music together when I’d return to Arizona in 2017. We grew up to grunge, nu metal and of course hip hop, which is what I’ve always inspired to meld together into something new. We typically want to do all sorts of genre experiments and test new sounds, but as of now our main focus is under the rap genre.

Tell us about your genre, concept and idea behind your music video and the song.

Our song “Nirvana and Gabbana” was a beat made by Jose which he at first wanted to make for rapper 6ix9ine, but I had written to it and he wrote a verse as well. The song is a fashion statement which is a type of fashion idolized by myself which is a mix between hip hop and rock culture as the song title “Nirvana and Gabbana,” Our music experience is very new and we’re expecting to be turned down a lot and looked over especially, but we know with the right mind set and persistence we can do anything we want.

Tell us everything that we need to know about you as a musician and the ups and downs you have faced in the music business.

We also are aware of how crowded the rap scene is at the moment, but we aren’t afraid to step in and make some noise and get ourselves some recognition. We want our music to be cultural bending and create something entirely new for the whole world to see and listen to and bring everyone from different backgrounds to one setting for a good time. I Allen Davis am just a vocalist and writer as Jose is the producer along with being a vocalist.

Tell us what inspires you to write, compose and sing.

My music inspiration goes way back to when I was 10 years old and used to watch the Temptations movie over and over and would take my shirt off and jam off to Linkin Park in the living room until my mom would come to tell me to turn the music down. Chester Bennington was my idol due to his voice and lyrics explaining every feeling I’ve ever had and his death was the decision making factor in my choice to pursue the music career. Everyday I think of his quote “Willing to sacrifice anything” in this Industry.

In the studio I either tell Jose a hook I wrote that came up as a random thought throughout the day and we collaborate our minds in creating a beat that goes with the hook and as the beat is being made I begin writing to the melody.

I’d spend my million dollars first on my college debt, buy my mom a new house and just spend, save and invest the rest on myself.
