Tell us your real names, country of birth, date of birth and childhood experience.
Sifa Bihomora, USA, April 27th 1998, I beat up my older brother once.

.

Tell us about your music career, band name, musical background, experience and skills.
Been doing music for eight years, SIFA is the band name, I’ve been singing for most of my life, I’ve done musicals, talent shows, choirs, and have been in multiple bands. I can do gospel, jazz, classical, funk, R&B, hip-hop, pop, blues, country, and traditional Rwandan music.

.

.

.

Tell us about your genre, concept and idea behind your music video and the song.
I kind of feel like my genre is a mix of all the music that I’ve done. I try to keep it hip but still have so much of me in it. A lot of the ideas that I get for my songs are based on personal experiences. But I still try to express it in a different way than how it is usually expressed.

.

.

.

Tell us everything that we need to know about you as a musician and the ups and downs you have faced in the music business.
As a musician I love music . It’s for me than anyone else and I think that’s why my music can resonate with people. I’m so unapologetically and no matter what happens, I know that no one can take my passion and love for music from me. I’ve been faced with situation where people would say you need to sound more like her then your music will be good. As if being myself was a crime. Those lessons were a great way for me to recognize, to love who I am and not to try and be someone else. In the bigger picture I’m the one who is winning because I know who I am at the end of the day and I know why I am doing music.

.

.

.

Tell us about other members of your band, music producer, crew or music video director, how the song was recorded and how the music video was shot.
So I have a bass player and his name is CJ Page and I have a piano player named Lauren Warnkens and last in my band I have a drummer and his name is Parker Costello. Parker also produces all of my tracks and if that’s not talented enough he also arranges, mixes & masters the songs. Currently we do not have a video out but we are working too!

.

.

.

Tell us how long you have been in the music industry, your experience and your future goal.
I feel like “the music industry” is kind of a vague question. But I’ve been doing music for eight years… when I think of the industry though it’s people who are already signed to a label which I am not and my goal is to make a career out of it.

.

.

.

Tell us what inspires you to write, compose and sing.
Everything inspires me to write! I could be recording and see a cup with water in it then start sing how my mother’s love fills me up like the water in the cup. Or sometime people tell me things that happen to them and if I really relate or get emotion for the story I’m like hey that would be a great song. Or sometimes I’m just stressed out by life and music is who I vent to all my problems even if that song never makes it out of mine or Parker’s laptop.

.

.

.

Tell us the secret behind making a hit song.
Haha if I knew I’d be famous. But my best guess would be just to make a lot of music and you will eventually get there.

.

.

.

Tell us the message you will like to pass to your fans out there.
If you always have love and kindness then you can overcome anything. The power of believing in yourself is also a very strong tool to have under your belt. My goal is to show fans we’re all the same and music will be my connection in bringing us together, what would be yours?

.

.

.

Tell the kind of advice you will give to an upcoming artist.
know what you value and never compromise it for anything. And be you no matter what anyone says.

.

.

.

Elaborate on your music careers, albums, songs, tours, recognition or awards you might have obtained.
I have released over 20 songs on SoundCloud account, which tracked my progression this year.
I have been in the Columbia tribune which is my hometown newspaper.
I got a Preforming scholarship at the MO Thespian Confidence 2016 .

As far as albums and touring go I haven’t released any and I’m finally at the point where I love my band and in the space to create my first album, which I know is going to take the world by storm!

.

.

.

List Radio or TV Stations that are airing your songs and blogs that have featured you as well and send message to them via this platform.
I’ve been on one of Columbia, MO radio stations KOPN 89.5 fm.

.

.

.

Tell us how you write your lyrics, compose, sing and record in the studio.
Other cool way I record is I freestyle 1 take and Parker will chop it up and compose it to a whole different song. Also we record in Parkers basement.

.

.

.

Name five biggest artists that you like.
Erykah Badu
Regina Spektor
Amy Winehouse
Nai Palm
My Mother

.

.

.

Name the artists you have collaborated with before in your songs or artists you are willing to collaborate with in the future if you have the chance to do so.
I have collaborated with Richard B which is my brother who oversee a lot of the music I make, Sila&Sam local Columbia mates, and good Ol’ Parker Costello.
People I want to collaborate with would be Adele, Anderson .Paak, Chance the Rapper, Childish Gambino, Robert Glasper, SZA and Aminé. Not to mention the queen herself Beyoncé.

Tell us about your happiest day and saddest day.
The happiest day of my life was when I performed publicly a song in the sixth grade. That feeling I got when I finished was the moment music became my passion.

The saddest day was when I was told my dad had stomach cancer.

.

.

.

Tell us how you will spend a million dollars.
First I would buy my parents a house and pay off all their debts. Then I would invest the rest in my career, but my ultimate goal would be to put it in organization to help maintain resources like food, water, medication, and education in 3rd world county like Rwanda. (That is where my parents are from.)
