Tell us how you come about the song.

This song came about from having a very vivid dream of my ex-girlfriend. The only way to get her off my mind was to make a song about our tragic relationship.

.

Tell us about you as a person outside the musical world.

Outside of the musical world, I am a twenty-year-old pizza driver that just dropped out of college to pursue a music career.

.

.

.

Tell us about you as a musician

As a musician, I like to make hip-hop & rap music that focuses on the daily struggles of human existence while also crafting a banger or two on the side.

.

.

.

Tell us how you manage other activities with your musical career.

Managing other activities outside of music is a challenge. I usually get lost in the music making process and end up late to almost every other activity whether it is basketball with my homies or a movie with my girl.

.

.

.

Tell us your experience as a musician.

I’ve been a musician for about 2 years. I went from having zero knowledge of musical composition to being able to engineer, mix, master, and write my own music. I was tired of relying on other people so I taught myself through Youtube.

.

.

.

Tell us five artists you can regard as legends.

My five legends are Eminem, Drake, Kanye, Linkin Park, & Big L.

.

.

.

Tell us the names of the media that have supported you so far.

So far I have had no media support me. This is my first time being accepted by a blog.

.

.

.

Tell us your future plans pertaining music.

My future plans for music are to improve my production until I have a professional sound. Then provide my production services for a fee until I can obtain my own studio.

.

.

.

Tell us what motivates you to write songs.

My motivation to write music comes from my aspiration to leave something behind in this world that will help get people through tough times.

.

.

.

Tell us the names of the artists you have worked with and the ones you will like to work with in the future.

Artists I have worked with include Spliff La Guru, Lames, Cap’n Riley, Los, Slaydoh, Melly Mellz, Da-Wolf, and Siah. One day I hope to work with Eminem and go bar for bar.

.

.

.

Tell us what you think about creativity and originality in music.

There are some artists that copy musical styles to reap financial benefits, but true musicians will always strive to be original in their creative process because they do it for the love of the game.

.

.

.

Tell us the reason you are into music.

The main reason I am into music is that after high school I realized my athletic career was over. While in a state of depression my homie gave me the chance to spit over a beat and it reignited my drive to become legendary at something.  Without music, I would have no reason to get out of bed in the morning.

.

.

Tell us your view on old school music and new school music in terms of preference.

I prefer new music. Music production has come so far that I am used to hearing my instruments and vocals in high definition.  The only downside is that there seems to be less substance in music because artists realize the instrumental will hold everyone’s attention.

.

.

.

Tell us your most memorable day as an artist.

My most memorable day as an artist is when my homies and I popped a couple tabs each and were about to run through a bunch of beats. We then ended up tripping hard and forgetting most of our vocabulary until the next day. As soon as my vocab came back I wrote nonstop for 7 hours just because I was thankful to have my lyricism again.

.

.

.

Tell us your genre of music.

My genre of music is Rap/Hip-hop.

.

.

.

Tell us how you write and record your songs.

My writing style is unorthodox from those that I have seen.  I write the first verse, then the hook, and finally I do the second and third verses. I usually just improvise on my ad libs to keep them fresh. I record my music in my bedroom on Audacity with a pretty cheap Blue Yeti microphone. I then move the vocal clips to FL Studio where I mix and master them with the beat.

.

.

.

Tell us what you will do for the people if you found yourself in a position of power.

If I found myself in a position of power I would use my platform to make music that would help people get through their depression and focus on living fully till the day they are six feet deep.
