Tell us about yourself.
I am an ocean loving, beach bum wrapped in leather and tattoos. I love to swim, I love to eat delicious fresh vegetables, and I drink 4+ liters of green tea a day.

.

.

.

Tell us about yourself as an artist.
As an artist I am very in tune with myself, with my feeling and with my vision. I am also very aware of my surrounding, of the people and personalities that surround me or that I may come across, when I write music it usually starts in a freestyle type setting, that is then worked on starting with either a sticky melody in my head or a stumbled upon a guitar that strikes a feeling inside, once I capture that feeling I stay in that pocket of emotion and ride it and write.

.

.

.

Tell us about the genre of your music.
I’d say my genre is rock, a feel good kind of rock that you can dance to, it’s hard to explain when to date I only have 3 tracks released… but I have written over 400 songs probably closer to 600, I like poppy light hearted rhythmic kind of pop with a little spice of 80s power ballad kissing a dainty melody.

.

.

.

Tell us about the story behind your song.
The story behind the song is simple really and a common feature of love, being lied to, but still feeling a strong want, reflecting and figuring out how to deal with it.

.

.

.

Tell us the challenges you are facing as a musician.
The challenges I’m facing as an artist really is exposure … I am taking my music to the world human by human and will be hitting some bigger live music scenes overseas in 2018.

.

.

.

Tell us about the recording and production of the song.
The song was recorded in a paradise of a home studio with ocean views in a quiet town of Kaiua with a very talented young Berlin based Producer Cas D.

.

.

.

Tell us the names of blogs, radio or TV stations that have supported you so far.
I’ve just released ‘Lie To Me’ to radio and waiting to hear back!
.

.

.

Tell us more about your music career, experience and future goal.
I have played in bands for the best part of 10 years and only became a solo artist less than 2 years ago, with the aim to move people with my music in different ways, to heal or for people to dance and jump or for people to feel a new kind of vibration.

.

.

.

Tell us what inspires you to write, compose and sing.
When I play live and I see people reacting to music that I have created from an experience, to see someone be taken there to that emotion is just such a special connection for an artist and really is what I call success. In the future, I want to be blasting on radio and television and earn financial freedom via my music so that I can just create for the rest of my life!

.

.

.

Tell us the secret behind making a hit song.
I think the secret behind a hit song is really connection and timing, how well your song connects with humans’ emotions and does it reflect the feeling of the time, I don’t know if there’s a true formula to having a hit song, but I would say exposure and marketing of the song do play a big part… for me I focus on writing and recording a true feeling and honest reflection on something I feel or felt.

.

.

.

Elaborate on your music careers, albums, songs, tours, recognition or awards you might have obtained.
In March 2018, I am off to Berlin to record for 3 weeks followed by a 10 show tour through Europe, then off to Los Angeles for 3 shows and to land a record deal!

I was in the crowd of 5,000 plus at Rhythm and Vines 8 years ago, the entire crowd was jumping to the then fresh sounds of Miami Horror, in that moment I became very still and watched everyone around me reacting… in that moment I knew one day I would be playing Rhythm and Vines! 2 months ago I was so proud and fulfilled to announce that I am playing Rhythm and Vines festival this year! Other gigs that are on my list are Wembley Stadium, the Grammy Awards 2020 and the Super Bowl Half Time Show.

.

.

.

Name five biggest artists that you like.
My favorite artists at the moment are Van Halen, HAIM, The 1975, David Bowie and Prince.

.

.

.

Name the artists you have collaborated with before in your songs or artists you are willing to collaborate with in the future if you have the chance to do so.

Tell us how you will spend a million dollars.
How I will spend my first million would be to ensure all my loved ones are cared for and have the freedom to find and pursue their passions! I would show thanks to all the people that have supported me financially and emotionally probably by having a big party and playing!
