Discuss your personality.

We’re all pretty laid back guys with a strong love of music.

Brief us about you as a musician.

We’re a hip-hop group based out of New York. Individually, we’re all musicians working in the NYC area. The idea of this particular project was born during production of a 2014 record called “Music, Love & Other Drugs” by Love Pocket. Most of us worked together for the first time on that record. There was a really cool energy there and we wanted to continue the vibe. However, each of us has other projects they’re a part of, so we didn’t get started on creating Ace Nation until around late summer of 2015. We continued writing together over the next year and a half. Then in March of 2017 we hit the studio. Toward the end of last year we released our first two singles “Good Vibes” and “Let it Grow” on Bandcamp and SoundCloud. We’re excited the full album is almost out!

Elaborate on the story line of this song.
“Meet Me Halfway” is basically a song about staying true to yourself but knowing when to comprise. The story focuses on a relationship but we think it can be looked at through any prism.

Discuss your experience pertaining live performances, gigs, shows and tours.
We’ve all been gigging musicians for a while now. Pretty much dating back to our high schools days. However, Ace Nation as a group hasn’t performed live yet.

Let us know the greatest moment of your music career.
We’re pretty stoked the release of our full-length debut “Rhythm & Light” is just around the corner!

Tell us how you relate with your fans.

We’re very active on our social platforms such as Instagram, Facebook & Twitter. In today’s world we think it’s super important to have as much direct contact with the people who support you as possible! At the end of the day we’re just fans of music too.

Tell us the most important people that have boosted your music career and how you met them.

All of us have been fortunate enough to have a great support system of teachers over the years. Whether that is in school, at jobs or at home. Most recently we can’t thank Abe Seiferth, of Transmitter Park Studio, enough for helping us make this record a reality.

Elaborate on the recording process of this song.

We were thrilled to be able to record at Transmitter Park Studio in Brooklyn, NY. Production started in March of 2017 and wrapped up in July. Working with Producer/Studio Manager Abe Seiferth was an absolute pleasure. We were constantly learning from him and his expertise. We could not have done this without him! It was an awesome experience seeing the ideas that we had been demoing for past year come to life. We took inspiration from artists such as A Tribe Called Quest, Anderson .Paak, D’Angelo & ESG making this album and “Meet Me Halfway” in particular.
