Tell us everything will need to know about you.
My name is Rob McCoy; I am from Paterson NJ USA, Fetty Wap’s older brother. I have an extreme love for music and seeking big success in this music industry, and to be a positive influence on those in need.

.

.

.

State your favorite genre of music and your reason.

R&B is my first love, but due to amazing singers such as Ariana Grande, I find myself listening more to pop these days. My mode has a big influence on what I listen to of course I listen to everything Fetty Wap as well. I can’t really say why other than music just makes me feel good inside especially if I’m having a tough day.

.

.

.

Tell us your experience as a musician.

I can play drums Keys and a little Guitar.

.

.

.

Tell us the theme of your song.
The theme of my song is forgiveness while explaining I wasn’t perfect and that all great relationships were going to take work.

.

.

.

Name the people behind your success and thank them on this platform.

My mother is my biggest supporter, Joe Thomas is my favorite singer and has a lot of influence on my music, and my daughter is my biggest inspiration.

.

.

.

Tell us about your future goals.

I don’t like to plan too far ahead we aren’t promised tomorrow so I live in the moment but if I am  fortunate enough to see a long life, at this point my goals would be creating a financially secure future for my daughter and immediate family members.

.

.

.

Go into detail about your opinion on religion and politics.
Politics scares me these days I don’t feel like they have the best interest of the everyday person which is unfortunate since we are the backbone of our countries.

Religion is also an extremely complex subject but if I had to say anything about it I just hope that one day we can learn to get alone and not judge anyone because of their beliefs if it’s not affecting the way you live it shouldn’t concern you what someone else believes.

.

.

.

Elaborate on how you think your music is inspiring your fans.

Every song has a different message but this song in particular will inspire fans not to give up on love and remind them it’s OK to be vulnerable as long as it’s for the person.

.

.

.

Explain the changes you have observed so far in the music industry.

Biggest change I have seen has to be the power of being independent due to the power of social media and blogs; it can really elevate an unknown artist into stardom without a major behind them although having a major always helps.

.

.

.

State the artists you cherish most and your reason.

Fetty Wap because he gave me a chance to be heard.

.

.

.

Elaborate on how you develop your lyrics.
I like to get a feel for the production first and I let it guide me into the direction I want to go in so that everything is in sync, Then I just freestyle perhaps a random life event, and go back later and reword everything into a song format.

.

.

.

Tell us if you enjoy collaborating with other artists or just singing as a solo artist.

I enjoy singing solo for the most part, and it’s hard to find really talented artist that are also as committed to music as I am.

.

.

.

Brief us your opinion on making music that makes people to dance or making the kind of music with genuine message that inspires them.
My opinion is that whatever your goal is with your music, make sure it comes from a real place and you will increase your chances of having a successful song; it’s this reason most successful artist never have a repeat of the previous success.

.

.

.

Tell us what you know about copyright.

Too often it is overlooked by indie artist. If you are looking for my detailed knowledge I would just say you have the option of mailing in all of your information or you can fill out a form online. This process can take weeks sometimes months but better to do it than to skip it. There are websites that do instant copyrighting but I don’t trust them personally.

.

.

.

Discuss the impact of a Performing Rights Organization.
They work hard to make sure songwriters get paid fairly, extremely important we have someone that can keep up with how the business is changing.

.

.

.

Elaborate on how you develop your melody and instrumentation.

Most of the time I will have a melody before I even upload music into my Pro Tools session, but if I struggle at any point in the writing process to create one; I will play the music on my piano at a slower pace so that I can take my time and play with my ideas if I like something, record a clip on my phone and try and bring it to life in the booth.

.

.

.

Go into detail on the recording process of this song.
Actually believe it or not the entire song was recorded to a lower key but faster tempo track. I was browsing through music the producer sent me and started to hum this song. I completely forgot I had it recorded I went back into my folder found the session fell in love with the song all over again and rerecorded the entire thing to this new track. I felt it being slower and in a higher key it allowed me to give it more soul and feeling.

.

.

.

Discuss your music performance.

I can do anything like to sing, dance and play piano or guitar, depending on the crowd.

.

.

.

Tell us how you will rate yourself as an artist.
7 ½ to 8 I have very high standards I wouldn’t dare compare myself to a Beyonce or MJ or Chris Brown and those artist are all a 10 for me.
