Tell us everything will need to know about you.
I was raised in a small town in Massachusetts. I’ve always done okay in school, but my mind’s primarily focused on music.

.

.

.

State your favourite genre of music and your reason.
My favorite genre would have to be Hip Hop, I love all the music that’s been coming out since the 90s to now; there are so many great artists.

.

.

.

Tell us your experience as a musician.
I began playing the guitar when I was 9; I still play it today nearly every day! I started writing songs last year and began rapping in August of 2017.

.

.

.

Tell us the theme of your song.
Sadness.

.

.

.

Name the people behind your success and thank them on this platform.
I wouldn’t consider myself successful. A few of my high school classmates suggested that I continue to make more songs because they found them entertaining. I can’t pick out anyone specific because it’s been a bunch of small pushes rather than a few large ones.

.

.

.

Tell us about your future goals.

I hope to make a more professionally produced and written album before 2019 comes.

.

.

.

Go into detail about your opinion on religion and politics.
I feel like those are two subjects that I’m not prepared to delve into, considering how deep and controversial they may be. I hope you understand haha.

.

.

.

Elaborate on how you think your music is inspiring your fans.
I’d like to hope it helps people cope, that’s my main goal with this. If I can get someone to feel like they’re not alone during a more depressing song that makes it all worth it. If I can make someone laugh on a more comedic song, that’s just as pleasing. I put a decent amount of effort into making sure that my lyrics actually mean something, and I rely on it more than my vocal abilities to convey the proper emotion of the track.

.

.

.

Explain the changes you have observed so far in the music industry.
There are more musicians every day, you can’t run out of unique people to listen to and I love that.

.

.

.

State the artists you cherish most and your reason.
I’ll have to say Marshall Mathers. I really appreciate his lyrical abilities, they’re insane if I’m going to be honest. He was the first Hip Hop musician introduced to me as well (by my mother, she called it her “angry music”), so it makes me a little biased there too.

.

.

.

Elaborate on how you develop your lyrics.
If I think of a lyric, I don’t care where I am, I’ll write it down or store it on my phone, in a document where I have a TON of random bars or paragraphs that come up inside my mind based on how I’m feeling. When I’m directly writing a song, I stick to a theme and just sit at my desk with the beat looping thinking of ideas for lines. I never like to rush the writing process; it’s very important and needs to be structured to a point where I don’t have a problem with any part of it. It’s poetry.

.

.

.

Tell us if you enjoy collaborating with other artists or just singing as a solo artist.

I’ve never had the opportunity to collaborate with another artist, but I’d love to try it out if I ever have the chance.

.

.

.

Brief us your opinion on making music that makes people to dance or making the kind of music with genuine message that inspires them.
I appreciate both types of music for what they each offer; whether it’s conscious or straight bumpin’ they each have their purpose. It’s the greatest when you combine the two, that makes everybody wet.

.

.

.

Tell us what you know about copyright.
It’s a protection of one’s work. Giving someone copyright permission allows them to use your material.

.

.

.

Discuss the impact of a Performing Rights Organization.
They help musicians get their performance royalties if their music is used in another source.

.

.

.

Elaborate on how you develop your melody and instrumentation.
I use a synth to help write many of my songs, this particular song is an example of that too. I come up with an idea for an instrumental in my head, and try my best to lay it down into the software. Usually, I don’t end up liking it 100%, so I alter it as much as I need too.

.

.

.

Go into detail on the recording process of this song.
My bedroom is where it all happens. After I’m finished with the instrumental and practicing the lyrics over and over so I know them like the back of my hand, I typically record the vocals a verse at a time. In certain cases, I will break it up more if need be, but the more natural sounding the better in my opinion.

.

.

.

Discuss your music performance.
I’ve never performed with any of my newer songs, I’ve played my acoustic guitar around the campfire for family and friends, but that’s about it haha.

.

.

.

Tell us how you will rate yourself as an artist.
Not great. I have a lot of flaws as an artist that I hope to improve eventually.
