Bearoid is the electronic pop project by Dani Belenguer, singer and producer born in Valencia but based in Barcelona.
A project originated with the vision of approaching the club music to home speakers, as well as filling with color and energy all dance floors, festivals and music venues. It’s about an intimate journey, where the personal life of the writer is printed with honesty in each of the song, fears, dreams, states of mind, real stories or fictional ones based in reality.
The songs cover different styles, in coherence to the mood of the moment of creation, but always with a strong influence from soul, disco, R&B as well as indie dance and house. Bright and very present melodies, with a hint of melancholy, but conceptualized to dance and make the heart go faster.

State your favourite genre of music and your reason.
Electronic R&B, because it’s soulful and colorful, could sound at the early hours of a club; it makes me want to close my eyes and dance.

Tell us your experience as a musician.
I’ve been playing music since I was 12 years old, but I’ve evolved a lot since. I used to listen to Arctic Monkeys and Blink 182 an awful lot, but now I like way more black music, house, hip hop, etc. I started playing guitar, then I went into singing, and a few years ago I started making beats. I’ve been preparing myself to go solo and not depend on anyone.

Tell us the theme of your song.
All my relationships have involved distance at some point. I started living with my girlfriend but she had to go back to where she’s from, although we still wanted to work it out. People are somewhat afraid of distance, but I’m a regular, and although I can’t say I enjoy distance I’m optimistic and looking forward to push it through. This is not forever, this happens for a temporary reason, and love withstands distance with hope, tenderness and a little help from both parts.
