I am an Israeli-American hip hop artist with a back for hustling, recovering from the world of addiction, and a knack for hustling and success…

After a long USA tour, I flew to Poland to link with my mother and great aunt to visit the concentration camps. I first performed with Matisyahu in the former Warsaw Ghetto and later traveled to Krakow. After going to Auschwitz-Birkenau, I headed back to my hotel room and wrote over Nate Greenmberg’s beat. Immediately after I called video director Ed Jansen to begin documenting my family trip. Later that year, I came back again for a Synagogue Festival “7 at Night” where over 10,000 people visited the 7 oldest synagogues of Krakow. After a 55 mile bike ride from Auschwitz to Krakow on Ride For the Living, I performed two sets in a 19th century synagogue.

While writing and recording the song on my last trip, I knew that “So Many People” could portrayed while shooting in an empty synagogue versus one filled with people where they had a concert. In my 2016 album What I do All Day and Pickle, (which also featured Anti-BDS song Dodging Bullets ft. Matisyahu,) I added “So Many People”  as the last song on the album. It was not meant to be on anything, but I feel that on all my pieces of work, there needs to be something serious to remind me about where I come from.

List the names of those that have assisted you so far in your music career and use this opportunity to thank them.

Jesse Shatkin and C Rayz Walz both gave me my start, and of course Matisyahu.

.

.

.

Narrate your experience while recording in the studio or while touring.

Usually I am there for a long time. I spend hours perfecting what I want to say, and never say it perfectly, but I always think my freestyle and first take have been the best for a sense of energy I want to deliver.

.

.

.

Go into detail about your songwriting process.

I write quick because my mind works so fast. I usually set deadlines first for me to make the effort to get done by a certain time. It is hard for me to finish things so deadlines help.

.

.

.

Brief us on what you have on the way for your fans out there.

I am in a world of content. I’m shifting over to making more singles. I want people to learn the words to my songs…so I want to make the stuff that resonates with them the most.

.

.

.

Tell us what you are doing to increase your fan base.

Currently doing a 90 day street performance around the world. It is the most fun thing I can think of yet…and every day I meet new people from Scottie Pippen to Chali2na of Jurassic 5 to random in the street that are excited for my passion.

.

.

.

Tell us that point in time that you just feel like giving up on your music career.

It hasn’t happened yet. It is the only thing I am perfect at. Trying and failing and continuously getting back up.

.

.

.

Go into detail on how you make your instrumentation or melody.

My life is a freestyle so when I am in my head about something I make sure words come out of my body. It usually has a melody.

Tell us the best way to get in touch with you on social media.

Tell us your favourite genre of music.

I love jazz and hip hop. Not so sure of it at times, but the sounds make me feel so good.

.

.

.

Tell us the subject matter of most of your songs.

User friendly I’d say. I have song topics ranging from sweatpants to Holocaust experiences to addiction to hanging out. Literally every song has a time and place for its occurrence.

.

.

.

Tell us all we need to know about this song.

This song is about the Holocaust. I wrote this song after visiting the concentration camps with my family. I was moved by it so much all I knew was to make a song and then figured I could create a video. Part of it includes performances in a synagogue in Krakow after performing there.

.

.

.

Tell us what you think about digital distribution and streaming.

I need to adapt to the future and current climate. Physical is more personal, but let everyone hear you anyway you can.

.

.

.

Tell us various ways that artists can boost their revenue.

One is by busking. Two is my co-writing. Three is by private performances. Private engagements lack ticket sales and are usually flat-fees.

.

.

.

Tell us your thought on self-training and going to educational institution to study music.

Nothing trains you for music like performing. I say go out there and perform. You’ll see what works and what doesn’t work. I never had education except experience…but I think it’s best for networking in school.

.

Go on at length on what it takes to write a hit song.

To make a hit song you must make many songs and have an amazing engineer. You have to create and keep creating and have all the right pieces. The beat is very important.

.

.

.

Tell us what you will buy if you want to build your own studio.

I would buy an engineer to go with the perfect room.

.

.

.

Go on at length on what it takes to gain the attention of the audience while playing live.

You must be interactive. Anyone who sees my shows knows we need to be interactive to make it work. It is all you have, especially if you sing songs no one even knows!!!

.

Describe in details how you feel when you hear your song on the radio.

It is surreal. I like hearing it but I want to hear it more. It gets everyone excited.

.

.

.

Describe your best mood to write a song.

Usually casual. I am writing and having fun and making weird sounds that eventually get used and chopped up. 🙂 My mood is great and excited. I love sharing the demo when I feel it is happening. It has been a while though!!!
