Tell us about yourself.
My name is Andréas, I’m a singer-songwriter currently based in Cape Town, South Africa.

Tell us about yourself as an artist.
I’m mostly a vocalist; and if I’m not mistaken I’d say that, I’m a mid-tenor. I also dabble with the acoustic guitar. And I’ve been taking singing seriously since the age of 18.

Tell us about the genre of your music.
The tracks on my debut EP: “Pariah” are R&B/Hip Hop, Contemporary Pop, Afro Pop, and R&B/Pop.

Tell us about the story behind your song.
On this record, I am talking about the sacrifices a person takes while transitioning from young to a full on adult. Most of the time; the sacrifice is always dreams and aspirations, by settling down to a 9 to 5, because the bills have to be paid.
Also, sometimes (not that this is wrong but) children happen and they become the center of your world…and before you know it, you’re 45+.

.
.
Tell us about the problems you are facing as a musician.
I’m just getting started with my music career as an independent artist, and I have yet to encounter any major problem that can potentially hinder me personally and professionally. So far so good; I’ve got no problem nor complaints.

.
Tell us about the recording and production of the song.
I wrote this song back in 2015, but didn’t finish writing it until 2016. And finally recorded it in July of 2017 with Cosher (a South African DJ Producer & Songwriter) at his studio Cosher Recording Studios.

The biggest one out of the three. They’re currently playing “Mr. Fiddler” during the afterhours, to see the feedback before they switch me to daytime, and eventually primetimes.

Tell the kind of advice you will give to an upcoming artist.
Hang in there fam! You’ll receive a lot of “No’s” before that one Yes that will eventually change your life and put you on the map. So don’t be discouraged. Every popular artist went through the exact same thing; probably even worse than
you, so perseverance, humility, and patience should be your best friends. Last but not least; make sure you have, and cherish a normal job to support your art. Be realistic. And if it never happens; oh well, don’t beat yourself over it; cause at least you went for it. It’s all about the fam (success or not), and that’s all that should matter.

Discuss at length your music careers, albums, songs, tours, recognition or awards you might have obtained.
I’m brand new; the release of my debut EP will pretty much mark my birth in the music industry. So, let’s all stay tuned.
