Tell us everything will need to know about you.

I believe in people more than ideas.

.

.

.

State your favourite genre of music and your reason.

I live for any kind of music that would make you want to dance in your kitchen with the people you love.

Disco does that for me.

.

.

.

Tell us your experience as a musician.

Best mistake I’ve ever made.

.

.

.

Tell us the theme of your song.

“Blossom” is about the moment you commit to something you’ve never done before and what might come with that experience.

.

.

.

Tell us about your future goals.

I want to fill arenas with people who love disco music as much as I do.

.

.

.

Elaborate on how you think your music is inspiring your fans.

I’m hoping that my music inspires people’s feet first, then their pelvises and then eventually their hearts.

.

.

.

State the artists you cherish most and your reason.

Michael Jackson because duh.

Elaborate on how you develop your lyrics.

I think the best songs are written with lyrics you would actually say to the person they’re about.  I try to keep that in mind when writing.

.

.

.

Tell us if you enjoy collaborating with other artists or just singing as a solo artist.

I am all about collaboration; especially here in LA- it feels like half of my Lyft drivers are more talented than I am. Such a great city to be a part of.

.

.

.

Brief us your opinion on making music that makes people to dance or making the kind of music with genuine message that inspires them.

I think the world needs more music that makes them want to dance and forget rather than the other way around.

.

.

.

Elaborate on how you develop your melody and instrumentation.

In the case of “Blossom”, it was one of the first songs I had ever written in Los Angeles, so thinking back to the process puts a huge smile on my face. Ben Samama and I wrote “Blossom” sitting on his couch in mid-city on a hot summer day. Ben and I share a lot of musical interest so when he laid down that retro synth bass line, I think we both let karate Elvis take the wheel. Ben and I would go on to write three more songs for the EP and I am so thankful for his talents and belief in the project.

.

.

Go into detail on the recording process of this song.

I was lucky to be joined by the talented Todd Spadafore on this record. Todd brought the piece to life with delicious organic tones and nasty synth colors. Working with Todd in his element was such a valuable lesson for me. Wholeheartedly, I could not have asked for a better example of professionalism.

State the title of the song and the meaning.

“Blossom” – the moment in your life that brought out the best in you.
