The Wolfe Brothers

COUNTRY HEART

THE HIGHLY-ANTICIPATNED NEW ALBUM FROM THE WOLFE BROTHERS

The Wolfe Brothers, one of the most exciting country rock bands to emerge out of Australia, are thrilled to announce their new album, Country Heart, is available today. Upon release today, the highly-anticipated album shot the band straight to the top of the iTunes country chart and #4 on the iTunes main chart, following right behind Ed Sheeran.

After the chart-topping success of their previous albums – It’s On, Nothing But Trouble and This Crazy Life – Country Heart is The Wolfe Brothers’ fourth studio album. The band – brothers Nick and Tom Wolfe and best mate Brodie Rainbird – had a remarkable 2017 which saw them nominated for two Golden Guitar awards, flying to Nashville to write their new album and playing both as Lee Kernaghan’s band and guest support on his 25th  Anniversary Tour. 2018 won’t see the The Wolfe Brothers slowing down, with not only new music, but also an album tour set to come. On top of this they recently performed at the 2018 CMC Country Music Awards where they were finalists for two awards: Group or Duo of the Year and Australian Artist of the Year.

Pioneers of Australian contemporary country music, The Wolfe Brothers completed the album in Sydney with their new producer, the multi-award winning Matt Fell and was mastered by renowned engineer, William Bowden (Goyte). All of this has led to a fresh and more developed sound with Country Heart.

We’re feeling all kinds of excitement and nerves with the release of ‘Country Heart’ and that’s exactly how it should be. None of us were interested in playing it safe this time. We basically took the process we have used to make our albums previously, turned it on its head and came at it from a completely different angle. The goal was to give each song its own personality, not just the same core set up as we have done in the past. We didn’t touch an electric guitar until a week and a half into the recording process – which for us is a big deal. We took the time to really hone the songs, tweak arrangements and get in find the sounds that would give each song its own unique character. The interesting thing is even though it’s very different, it’s still us – the songs are more real and more honest and we just can’t wait for our audience to get to hear this new chapter in our career!” – Nick Wolfe.

The video for the successful first single from the album, Ain’t Seen It Yet, was filmed in the band’s hometown of Tasmania on the ‘Wolfe Brothers Berry Farm’ – the family farm of over 120 years.

Drew James

Award winning songwriter Drew James performs his solo act all over the west coast, primarily in the bay area, including the Bread and Roses concert series. Drew’s songs receive airplay around the globe.

Drew’s studio releases “Out to Lunch” (2017), “Love Through a Prism” (2015), “Screaming at the Sky” (2012) and “Mystic Rhythm Fingers” (2010) include his most requested songs. His 2007 acoustic release “Way Beyond the Maze” includes the Great American Song Contest award winner “You Can Cry to Me” and the Billboard World Song Contest award winner “Thicker than Blood.” His 2006 release “The Last Second Chance,” produced by Bruce Kaphan, was submitted for Grammy consideration. It includes the Billboard Song Contest award winner “That Old Friday Night Feeling.” The CD was also featured at the Toofy Film Festival in Boulder, Colorado. He appeared on Shuteye Records’ “United State of Americana” compilation CD that made it to #53 on the Americana Music Association charts in 2005.

On his The Last Second Chance CD (2006), Drew James has created his own music realm, attractive and hospitable to any Real Music lover, no matter his or her genre preferences. Strictly speaking, the album is recorded in a folk-rock key, but there’s so much True Blue feeling in every track that they sound “more Blues” to me than many of the “canonized” 12-bar standards. The arrangements and performance are tasteful and natural, and the production is simply perfect (a George Martin level work done by guitarist Bruce Kaphan). To those yet deciding whether to buy or not this CD, I’d say it’d be one of their best investments, a “long term” one – the more you play this record, the better it sounds. Drew James’ music world is a place to stay – “you can check out any time you like, but you can never leave”.”

– Paul Bondarovski, Midnight Special Blues Radio

As Far As I Know subscribes to traditional roots songwriting, but bends the rules slightly by subverting traditional sounds with intimate singer/songwriter blues tones” – Ryan Hoffer, Shuteye Records A&R

Mud Audio Voodoo

MUD AUDIO VOODOO is a project born (2015) from the economic crisis. How can you make music with little money?
I was reminded of Bowie’s song “I’m a DJ” (I’m a DJ and I’m what I play)….. So using various free software and low price I started mixing, changing loops and samples royalty free. All bought on the internet from eBay, Beatport etc….
Influenced by my land (Bay of Angels, Aleph, thriller, Mecca, Slego, Zanzibar …..) I composed the first blends that were published by The Orchard Enterprises NY. Inc. in the digital world (iTunes, Tidal, Amazon, Spotify … etc.) this gave me a little light that brought the single “Away from This” up to the 12th position in the European indie chart.

THE FOUR TOPS and THE TEMPTATIONS

welcome special guests TAVARES to their

TOGETHER AGAIN…ONE MORE TIME

UK ARENA TOUR, NOVEMBER 2018

The Four Tops and The Temptations, have announced that Tavares, the hugely influential group whose hits spanned the genres of both RnB and Disco, will join them on their UK arena tour in November 2018.

Entitled Together Again…One More Time, this tour is potentially one of the last opportunities for music lovers to see both The Four Tops and The Temptations performing live in the UK.

Tavares

The story of Tavares is that of a band of brothers bound not only by blood, talent, and a rich musical legacy, but by fierce determination to succeed in the music business. Over two decades, the Tavares Brothers achieved numerous Top 40 singles, and won a Grammy Award for their work on the soundtrack to iconic disco film, Saturday Night Fever.

Their biggest hit, 1975 R&B Chart topper, It Only Takes A Minute, was not only a huge success for them. Two decades later, a version released by a (then) unknown boy band called Take That earned them their debut Top 10 hit, bringing the music of Tavares to an whole new generation, whilst simultaneously launching the career of one of the world’s most successful pop groups.

The Four Tops

Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductees The Four Tops have been responsible for an astonishing number of hit records during their 54-year history. Throughout their career they have remained hugely popular in the UK, and their twenty-seven UK Top 40 Chart hits make them Motown’s most successful ever artist on these shores.

The Four Tops’ back catalogue is rich with many of the best-loved songs from the 60’s, 70’s and 80’s, including classics such as I Can’t Help Myself (Sugar Pie, Honey Bunch), Bernadette, Ain’t No Woman (Like the One I’ve Got), and their UK & US number one smash hit, Reach Out (I’ll Be There).

Their current line up includes founder member Duke Fakir plus Ronnie McNeir, Lawrence Payton and Harold ‘Spike’ Bonhart.

The Temptations

Three-time Grammy Award winners, The Temptations have been an integral part of the world of vocal R&B virtually since its inception. Formed in 1961, they have gone on to be one of the most successful groups of all time – in any genre – achieving thirty seven Billboard Top 40 hits, including four #1’s, and ranked at number 68 on Rolling Stone’s100 Greatest Artists Of All Time.

Three classic Temptations tracks, My Girl, Just My Imagination (Running Away with Me), and Papa Was a Rollin’ Stone, were included in Rock and Roll Hall of Fame’s 500 Songs that Shaped Rock and Roll, and they were awarded a Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award in 2013.

The line-up is founder member, Otis Williams, with Ron Tyson, Terry Weeks, Larry Braggs and Willie Greene Jr.

These songs are the soundtrack to our lives – we love performing them as much as ever, especially to the UK audiences” – says The Temptations’ Otis Williams.

Duke Fakir agrees “We love coming to the UK – this is our favourite tour and we just love the people here…they treat us like royalty! They love the music which makes it wonderful to perform on stage every night

Versatile Haitian American Singer/Songwriter Natalie Jean and Country singer Levi Moore release new Country single

Natalie Jean is a very rare kind of vocalist.  Winning recognition across the most diverse of musical genres and quite comfortable performing in English, French and Creole. Levi Moore is an upcoming talented Country artist.  In exciting news, Natalie Jean and Levi Moore have recently dropped their new single “The Letting Go,” and fans old and new couldn’t be happier.

February 14, 2018

Natalie Jean and Levi Moore are excited to announce the much-anticipated release of their Country single, titled, ‘The Letting Go.’ The song is a co-write between Michael Peloso and Natalie Jean.

Produced by Alexi Von Guggenberg, is readily available for purchase nationwide at the iTunes Store, Amazon.com, Google Play, and various digital online stores.

“Music aside for a second, the songwriting is where things get personal – where things connect in a more intimate and communicable sort of way. Natalie Jean’s smooth and gentle voice offers up the first verse – a certain delicacy that contrasts effectively with the thick drum line and the somewhat manic or anticipating guitar part. Her voice falls into the mix like another instrument, brightening things up, enhancing the ambiance. It’s only really when you get to the satisfying resolve of the hook that the lyrics really start to take shape in your mind. The second and third times you listen you pick up on way more about the sentiment and the underlying ideas. It’s an inspiring song, learning to move forwards is important – to get over and get on with things. The song hits with impact, it’s powerful, and this concept is well represented.”

“The set-up of one voice for the first verse and another for the second is not all that common in modern music. It works best when there’s a noticeable contrast, a clear cut set of differences that lay out the two leading characters and their sides of the story or their input. Levi Moore’s voice adds a gorgeous new dynamic to an already enjoyable and calming piece of music and writing. The two artists together offer so much passion and skill that their performances are mesmerising. The detail throughout this entire release is beautiful; it’s a carefully crafted single that has been so well captured that you can listen on repeat and not get tired of the unfolding mightiness and magic.”

– Stereo Stickman

“The song binds a beautiful tale of unforgettable love and the strength it bores into the mind and soul of a human body. This track flows over a logical explanation of feelings and relationship which is sure to inspire many young hearts. The audio quality of the song is quite high with keen attention given to making the song enjoyable for the audience.”

“Brilliantly penned down by Michael Peloso and Natalie Jean, this track, ‘The Letting Go’ is truly a masterpiece by Natalie Jean and Levi Moore. With so much talent and passion merging on a single platform, this track is already a memorandum in the world of amusing harmony.”

– Skope Magazine – Natalie Parker

Natalie Jean is an award winning singer/songwriter performer and a dynamic artist who grew up loving music.  She enjoyed singing with her Haitian father, Guy Robert Jean – who was also an artist. She writes for many genres, which would include Jazz, R&B, Dance, Pop, Country, Rap, Heavy Metal, Contemporary, etc. She can also sing in French and Spanish.

From 2014-2018, Natalie Jean’s songs have received over 60 nominations and several wins, including the American Tracks Music Awards,  Artists in Music Awards, LA Music Awards, The Indie Music Channel Awards, The Indees, American Songwriting Awards, Hollywood Music and Media Awards, The International Music and Entertainment Association, Australian Independent Music Awards, the Akademia Music Awards, Josie Music Awards, International Music Video Underground, International Songwriting Competition, Australian Songwriting Contest, Global Music Awards, Libera Music Awards, Wammies, World Wide Music Contest, Hollywood Songwriting Contest, and UK Songwriting Contest.  She was named one of the Top Five Vocalists in the Singer Universe Vocalist of the Month for June 2014. Most recently she was awarded the Gold Medal in the Global Music Awards for Female Pop Vocalist, for one of the songs currently on the album, titled “L’Amour a L’Infini, which is a co-write with Lyssabelle. Also, she won Best Dance Song, in the American Songwriting Awards for her song, “Red Room – The Remix”. She also won Best World Artist (Multiple Languages) in the 2017 Josie Music Awards. As well as being a Finalist in the 2018 International Acoustic Music Awards in the Folk Category for her song “Smoking Ke Fan,” which was written by Natalie and her father.

Inspired by Lena Horne, Celine Dion, Billie Holiday, Nina Simone, and Ella Fitzgerald, her beautiful voice and melodies will surely leave you wanting for more!

Levi Moore, is a country singer/songwriter out of Savannah, GA. He writes what he feels and sings from the heart, taking notes Jennings, but also influenced early on by the great songwriters of lore, like Gordon Lightfoot and Jim Croce.

While having always craved the presence of music, he began creating music late, teaching himself to play guitar in the second half of my five-year college career, using music as a balance between football practice and midterm exams. Having been a storyteller and writer since elementary school, songwriting was a natural progression.

After 3 years, he left the oilfield to become a full-time musician, moving to Savannah, GA and plunging headlong into the coastal fray. After having been nominated for Male Vocalist of The Year in Modern Country at the 2017 Josie Music Awards, He is diligently working at my craft, gigging throughout the week, writing more than ever, and preparing to cut and release my first album this winter.

Michael Peloso is a New Jersey-based lyricist/songwriter who writes undeniably touching, honest lyrics with a sense of simplicity that are uniquely all his own. Other primary influences include Tom Waits, Bruce Springsteen, Fleetwood Mac, Tom Petty, Carole King, James Taylor, Natalie Merchant, Hall & Oates, Jude Cole, Ed Roland and Darius Rucker…Just to name a few of many. Michael collaborated with Natalie Jean. “Please Don’t”, a Josie Award nominated R&B track was released in 2016, and is a featured single on Natalie’s Unafraid album. The duo released “Alive” on June 30, 2017. “Lost & Found is scheduled to be released this fall.

Most recently, “The Letting Go” won for best Americana Song in the Clouzine International Music Awards and is nominated in the Atlas Elite Entertainment Music Awards for Best Country Single

One great review in particular is from Jamsphere:

“A good duet, in our modern age, is a rare thing. There are plenty of features, guest verses and co-writes, and the cameo drop-in is a dime a dozen. The number of genuine duets, where vocalists share verses and tell a story together in the space of a song, is very small. If your optimism fails you, as you wonder whether there are enough great acts to keep hit radio stocked with worthy pop music duets, it’s reassuring to find that Natalie Jean and Levi Moore have a first-rate single to carry us through the next few months, all by itself.”

Elaborate on the recording of this song.

So, I contacted my friend Michael Peloso to co-write a song. I wanted something that could be a duet. I wanted to sing a duet with the amazingly talented Levi Moore. So, Michael wrote something and I added some of the finishing touches. Levi and I live in two different states. So, I sang the song. Sent him the tracks. He recorded his part. Sent them back to me. My music producer Alexi Von Guggenberg mixed everything and Voila!!!

Tell us your point of view on vocal tuning.

I believe that sometimes a song needs a little bit of vocal tuning. I also love the idea of the vocal being extremely natural.

.

.

Tell us your thought on quality and quantity for the release songs.

I think that music is very subjective. Not everyone is going to like everything that you do. You have to be content with your own music. I like songs that are not overly produced. I want to hear someone’s soul in their music.

.

.

Tell us your viewpoint on comparing music career to non-music career.

A music career is extremely hard. It takes money and hard work. There are challenges of people trying to scam you all the time. There are people that think that their opinion is what matters most. You have to deal with all kinds of feedback and remain strong towards your goal. Non-music career, I think allows for more flexibility.

The single is called “The Letting Go.” This was chosen because sometimes you have to learn to let go, when something is not seemingly working in a certain way. You either choose to work it out, or let go of the past.
