Tell us your history.

As a kid I grew up moving a lot between Texas, Colorado, & Ohio with my Mom, Dad, & Little Sister. I ended up finishing my high school in Texas & being heavily influenced by Dallas’ sound. Sometime in 10th grade (2010) I sold my Martin Guitar my grandfather gave me and bought a home studio with the money that I collected. So ever since then it’s been nothing but recording & learning so many thing about myself & the industry. My grandfather “Charlie Hatchett” was inducted into the Texas Music Hall of Fame for the talent agency he owned & all of the work he put into Austin’s music scene including working with Stevie Ray Vaughn, BB King, The Eagles, ZZ Top, & many other house hold names. We can just say music is in the blood. I Grew up with instruments everywhere & played in multiple different bands as a kid. My music has brought me to many places but currently it’s in Los Angeles, California where I’m surrounded by nothing but incredible musicians & amazing weather. I’m currently working with artists like Fooly Faime (from Yung Nation), Diego Money, & Lil Twist. I’ve recently even crossed paths with Omar Linx which is super dope because he spreads a lot of wisdom. There’s a lot more than that to my life & history but that’s a little insight to my life. You’re welcome.

QUEEN OF KINGS

Queen of Kings is a Los Angeles, CA based duo passionate about making the world party and dance!

The vision of to bring “Mexi-Latin” music internationally is being expanding by the strong, united, and unstoppable QK Family.

In 2010 Sirena and Auggie began their journey on the long stretch of the Texas I-35 Highway by performing, touring, and winning over doubters at every major bar/club and dive bars in between. In less than 2 years the duo earned a reputation for outworking every artist and band.

In the fall of 2014, the duo relocated to Los Angeles, California and released their first EP “The Beginning”, which rose to #34 on the iTunes Indie Rock Charts. While working on several projects at Universal Music Group and Paramount Recording Studios, they were able to establish a value by being featured alongside Ne-Yo, Common, and Malik Yusef.

The release of their single “Hollywood Outlaw” in late 2015 allowed the duo to emerge as a distinct act. The follow up single “Killin’ Me” the next year continued the momentum by amassing over 118,000 views on YouTube.

2017 proved to be the perfect setting for growth and inspiration. Following their instincts, the duo made a switch to their now signature “Mexi-Latin” style (combining Mexican, Latin, and Alternative sounds) that catapulted them to new heights.

Their recent sold out show (April 2018) at The Viper Room in celebration of their new single, “Baila”, has caused a stir in Los Angeles and is beginning to grab the attention of everyone whether they speak Spanish or not!

The powerful word of mouth that has organically spread like fire is expanding the duo’s aura of freshness and excitement!

Discuss your personality.

We are a duo that is passionate and excited about being the best, having fun, expanding our family around the world, and inspiring them to smile & dance.

.

.

.

Discuss your existence as a musician.

We both have been singing and playing music since we were children in Waco, Texas. We toured regionally before moving to Los Angeles, CA 3 years ago.

.

.

.

Go into details on the changes in your life for choosing music as a career.

Sirena and I have been doing music together for many years. We came to a realization that we deserve to give ourselves the opportunity to be huge and we truly believe that. We have put all of our passion into what we do and since evolving into the artists we are now, we have been experiencing exciting success.

.

.

.

Tell us the benefits and drawbacks of choosing music as a career.

It’s all about perception. We have changed the way we think and talk. We know our vision; we establish daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly goals. We truly treat this as a business and carry out that business daily.

.

.

.

Tell us how you will manage fame as an established artist.

If we are honest, we would have loved fame, fortune, and worldwide success even as teenagers. Being that we have been at this for many years now and have encountered many failures, we have built a strong skin. We have a different view of fame now and are excited to use that as a tool to help those who have helped us and help those who are in need…not just in music.

.

.

.

Elaborate on the storyline of this song.

This is our first song recorded in Spanish…to us, this is huge! It represents the turning point in our career and displays who we are now. We have a vision of QK standing for fun, smiles, laughs, dancing, and good vibes. So we wanted to write a song that represented that. “Baila” is a party song and it celebrates life, which we now do.

.

.

.

Let us know the greatest moment of your music career.

Right now! It really is…we are in the midst of it all! It’s scary and exciting at the same time!

.

.

.

Discuss your experience pertaining live performances, gigs, shows and tours.

We have developed an amazing live show and the ability to draw crowds to pack clubs in Hollywood. We are proud of that because at the moment we do that on our own. To us, that means that there are people out there hungry for what we have to offer! Imagine when we get the perfect team around us?!

.

.

.

Discuss the changes in your life as an artist.

Change is constant not only in this business, but in life. We have realized that and are always open to evolve because we love music and what we do so we want to do this successfully for the rest of our lives.

.

.

.

State the names of the most important people that boosted your music career and how you met them.

We could name all of our influences, but it truly is about our QK Family. That’s what we call our “fans” (which we hate that term). They have helped us throughout the years and have made this grow! What does it matter if we’ve met famous people or bigger acts? We are who we are because of our QK Family.

.

.

.

Explain what you have in mind before considering music as a career.

Nothing…yes we veered off a little growing up, but for both of us it’s always been music and everything that comes with it.

.

.

.

Discuss your experience in life.

Ha! We are still living and learning it! And that’s because we have thrown ourselves into it. We are putting everything on the line for our love, passion, and vision!

.

.

.

Name the artists that have influenced the world.

Shakira, Selena Quintanilla, Jennifer Lopez, Michael Jackson, Johnny Cash, Guns N Roses, Nirvana, etc.

.

.

.

Discuss your moment of rejections as a musician/artist and how you are able to cope and move on with your career.

Because we handle what we do in a professional and business matter, we face rejections on a daily. So it’s not about getting rejected, it’s about pivoting and realizing how we can improve and having the courage to continue to be confident.

.

.

.

Tell us the most negative comment you have ever received.

We don’t even know because we don’t pay attention to that stuff. We throw that stuff out immediately because we only foster success, positivity, and good vibes!

.

.

.

Elaborate on the song.

It’s in Spanish, we know…but you’ll dance and smile to it anyway!

.

.

.

State your artist’s name and elaborate on it.

Queen of Kings…to stand amongst kings, to stand up for yourself, to be free, to live this life how you desire…that’s who we are!

.

.

.

State the title of the song and the meaning.

Baila – which means “dance”. No explanation needed…we want to inspire the world to dance!

.

.

.

State the title of the album and the reason for choosing the title.

Baila – who doesn’t feel good with a great and fun song? Even if you don’t know how to dance, your heart will jump up and down.

Paragon Cause

Paragon Cause

Fear Paragon Cause’s new single, “Fear” equips an array of haunting vocals and guitar lines that move the unique song that is dark, immersive, and angst-ridden. Thematically, the song’s darkness and depth is further accentuated by its lyrics about the fear that those with a history of violence and abuse live with. A retro drum beat that moves well with the song and comfortably supports a raw set of lyrics and vocals that are sure to please. This haunting track ends with a climax that is sure to please all those willing to stay till the end.

Paragon Cause is a songwriting, production and musical duo based out of Canada’s Capital, Ottawa. Dutch Orange and Cape Breton Green combine to bring their love of Hip-hop, jazz piano, 80’s synthesizers and 50’s guitars to create music that is mysterious yet familiar. Flowing vocals with dense harmony mix with dark modal guitar playing, all set to retro drums.

Marnie, from southern Ontario, Canada is a trained Jazz singer and pianist whose strong songwriting skills set the base for many of the tunes the duo produce together. Influences include Mamma Cass, The Beatles and Beethoven. Her songs often discuss topics that can challenge the average listener to embrace deeper meaning and emotion.

Kirwan, originally from Cape Breton, Nova Scotia shied away from the Celtic influence of growing up in Cape Breton and was drawn to bands such as Tribe Called Quest, Digible Planets and early Ice Cube. Juxtaposed with his love of The Cure, Janes Addiction and The Raveonettes, his guitar playing and production skills pull together all his influences to create dense and dark arrangements.

The duo writes, records and produces all songs.

A song from the world’s finest purveyors of Espionage Pop/Rock. Kuryakin is from Kaiser Architekt’s Spycraft 101 EP.

Kaiser Architekt is an international espionage pop/rock group set up to report and monitor the activities of the mysterious femme-fatale known as Doctor 11. It’s fun, feel-good pop/rock, with layered guitars, harmony vocals, and minimalist piano patterns. Think of it like “The Man from UNCLE” meets “The Monkees” with retro-feel music that spans several decades.

Spycraft 101 was mixed and mastered by Michael Zimmerling at Hammersound in Berlin. Kuryakin is a 2015 remix. It is the extended version of the song, which normally starts to fade at 3’26”.

“A clear understanding of both folk storytelling and the hook of pop harmonies” – Folk Radio UK

“Flowing with delicate folky melodies and Spear’s smooth, sumptuous vocals” – Gigslutz

“An acoustic songwriter of rare potential, her work is sharply emotional while being deeply personal.” Clash Magazine

To many Tally Spear may seem like a very clued up and driven young Londoner. The talented songsmith has spent the last year building her name on the live circuit and earning critical acclaim for her compellingly addictive and insightful folk country driven pop compositions. However, for all the achievements and forthright career strides she has taken, underneath it all Tally is just another 22 year old who is confronted with as many pressures and insecurities as we all are, regardless of our age or abilities.

Growing up in an artistic household, as the daughter of a theatre actress and a musician, has clearly shaped Tally’s own creative path but she is an artist who taps in to her own experience rather than simply sharing those she has observed. Tally Spear was fed traditional folk and rock music from an early age, and started playing under the influence of her father, who encouraged her development as an artist. A trained pianist and self-taught guitarist, she started writing and playing her own music at a very young age.

This creative setting fuelled her love of words, using songwriting as a way to cope with her battle against insomnia and an anxiety disorder. While her melodies may be bright and breezy, behind the blissful beauty of her pop songs are moving lyrics that offer insight into the complexities and intricacies of the human mind. Tally does not shy away from exploring perceived social and political issues – notably raised as a vegan, Tally Spear is a keen animal rights advocate and involves this content in her some of her writing.

The culmination of her efforts comes in the form of the Fade To White EP. It’s a conclusive piece of work that feels like a consolidation of her musical influences and life experiences in six-track format. Tally’s glossy, pop-star esque vocal juxtaposes the purist-songwriter instrumentation exquisitely. The release ebbs and flows between the upbeat, pop-country feel of ‘Days Like These’ and ‘Fade To White’, to the tales of experience and conflict in ‘Don’t Believe It’s All Me’ and ‘Just Don’t Know’. It’s a project way beyond the artist’s formative years, and a marker laid down for one of the most promising young songwriters on the scene.
