TRAVIS COLLINS ANNOUNCES NEW ALBUM, BRAVE & THE BROKEN, COMING AUGUST 17, 2018

LEAD SINGLE, HIGH HORSE, AVAILABLE TODAY

Brave & The Broken isn’t just an album title, it is all of us,” says Travis Collins.

Collins, a six-time Golden Guitar and back-to-back CMC Male Artist of the Year winner, says his upcoming/eagerly anticipated sixth album delves into the depths of the human soul and spirit, the good and the bad, the happy and sad.

He’s now established himself as a leading male vocalist in the Australian music landscape.  Off the back of Collins’ ongoing success, ABC Music announce the release of Brave & The Broken on August 17.

A dynamic guitarist, vocalist and live performer, Travis Collins continues to excite as a songwriter with Brave & The Broken. Armed with new songs for the album, Travis returned to Nashville in January this year for a whirlwind recording session with producer of the moment, Luke Wooten (Brad Paisley, Dierks Bentley) and a studio band including Mike Rojas (Luke Bryan) on keys, acoustic guitarist Carl Miner (Taylor Swift) and bassist Jimmy Carter (Alan Jackson).

Every track on the album was either written or co-written by Travis himself, joining him in the writing room by some of Nashville’s foremost composers such as Jason Duke (Keith Urban) and Dave Turnbull (Luke Bryan).

We didn’t approach these songs with a checklist and ‘rulebook’ and I’m proud that it really shows here. I just tried to write as real, relatable and honestly as I could, and we recorded what felt right. You know, the kind of songs we crank on the weekend, songs that make you think of someone or a song which takes us somewhere. Songs that put a lump in your throat, a smile on your face or a tear in your eye.” – Travis Collins.

The first single, High Horse, perfectly depicts the above; highlighting Travis’ mesmerising vocals throughout the earthy torch song which holds a mirror to a broken relationship as seen through a mate’s eyes.

“All of us are brave and broken, depending on the day, and that is what I wanted these songs to be” – Travis Collins.
