Enrique “Rick “ Santana

My name is Enrique Santana but everyone calls me Rick.  I was born in Chicago in 1964.  Moved to Puerto Rico in 1970 and lived there for 7 years when I returned back to Chicago in 1977.  I attended Roberto Clemente HS where I came to be part of our Folkloric Dance group and also became a member of our HS band which is when I started to write songs.

I am a singer songwriter since I was a teenager.  I have always had a dream of recording my songs and have participated in contests such as the Hispanic Star Search in Chicago.  I have also been featured as a talent in a music show in the 90s based in Chicago called Salsa, Dip and Chip, performing one of my original songs titled “Spanish Eyes”.   I moved to Tampa Florida in 2007 and have been here since.  I am part of the worship team at my church “Victory Worship Center” in Plant City, Florida.

I am also a Registered Nurse and work at Moffitt Cancer Center where I have been a hematology oncology nurse for 11 years since I moved to Tampa in 2007.  Once in a while, I will go up to the in-patient floors in the hospital and play my guitar and sing my songs to our patients.   I love sharing the gospel by reading the bible, praying with them and singing my worship song to and with my patients so that they can be encouraged and be blessed.

Recently I have decided that instead of paying a producer, that I would learn how to produce and record my own songs.   I have always had a dream of creating and composing my music and decided to jump into the deep and I am trusting God to take me where he wants me to be.

Light Over There

Light Over There is a band comprised of Irish singer Aileen Henderson and American singer/songwriter Rex Haberman. Their collaborations have produced 2 EPs and an Irish Tour. This film showcases their Irish Tour.

War Poets

War Poets is also a band.

War Poets was named by band members Jenny Case and Rex Haberman in conjunction with songwriter Matt Kirkwold. Influenced by legends like Tom Petty, Bob Dylan, and Bruce Springsteen, these 3 musicians combined to write the majority of the 17 songs on their self-released debut album, “Dulce et Decorum Est”. The songs tell stories of socially important issues in rock and ballad styles, and were produced by Kevin Bowe in Minneapolis and Stephen McKnight in Philadelphia.

Both AAA and college radio picked up on the momentum generated by the band’s first video, “Close Enough”.

“Close Enough”, “Don’t Look Back”, “Dominica’s Been Sent”, and “Deep Blue” are examples of songs played on North American radio.

The band’s United States tour included playing venues and events such as Whisky A Go Go on Los Angeles’ Sunset Strip, The National Underground in New York’s Lower East Side, and several large national festivals (in Austin, NYC for example).

Multiple TV and film licenses have been obtained. All 17 songs in both instrumental and full versions have been accepted.

I Prevail Debut Final Music Video Off Lifelines, Hit Single “RISE”

In the closing chapter to their debut album “Lifelines”, Michigan rock group I PREVAIL give fans their signature mix of narrative and humour with their new music video for “RISE”. Directed by the team at Dominar Films, the video follows the boys of I Prevail attempting to face off against the most challenging of foes in a modern arcade environment. The track is a favourite off their debut album “Lifelines”, released in 2016.

“We knew we wanted to create a video for ‘RISE’ very early on in the making of ‘Lifelines’,” lead-guitarist Steve Menoian explains.

“The song is an anthem about the competition and dedication that come with overcoming obstacles and achieving goals. During our first year of touring, we spent almost every day off at Dave & Busters. This was partly because we couldn’t afford hotels or fancy restaurants, but mostly because we found ourselves having to compete with each other at every turn, no matter how petty or small the stakes. It’s just part of who we are. This video will give you a front row seat to our over competitiveness and a window into our darker sense of humour. The entire process of making this video allowed us to travel back in time and remember how much we love what we do and how we wouldn’t want to be doing this without each other and our fans.”

The band is currently playing mid-west dates at select venues and making several festival appearances, including Rock On The Range, Rocklahoma, and Rockfest.

In the span of two years, I Prevail have played festivals like the main stage on the Vans Warped Tour, Rock On The Range, Carolina Rebellion and have mostly sold out over 200 headline shows. To date, their debut album “Lifelines” is approaching 400,000 albums sold worldwide.

I PREVAIL is Brian Burkheiser (clean vocals), Eric Vanlerberghe (harsh vocals), Steve Menoian (lead guitar), and Dylan Bowman (rhythm guitar).

Inspired By Lightning – Le Mystique

Le Mystique

Le Mystique is a project of Jimmy Dukelow.  Jimmy has been playing the guitar and writing songs since age 12. He studied classical guitar around the age of twenty. Over the next few years he really became rooted in a fingerpicking technique. He employs this style on classical and electric guitar.  From this piece, you can detect a David Gilmour influence.

In 1996 Jimmy recorded “Angels, Roses and Stars” and this was engineered and produced by Jim Reeves in Evanston, Illinois.   This session was a learning experience in recording and mastering songs.  As such he began using Cubase on his computer and recorded and uploaded songs to mp3.com. Jimmy Dukelow taught himself how to play keyboards and dove into the world of the synthesizer with its plethora of sounds. Every new sound brings a new inspiration.  Jimmy later went on to learn how to play the drums.

Dukelow is of French Huguenot heritage.  This inspired the name Le Mystique which translated from French means, “The Mystic”.   The Huguenots left France in the period of the 1500’s through the 1700’s.  The Catholic Church was now the official religion of France.  Huguenot’s were Protestant, (Some perhaps Mystics) being sought out for heresy.

The Le Mystique project began in late 2011.

Jimmy’s vision of Le Mystique, is that of mystical, the unexplained, metaphysical, but perhaps explainable.  The main theme of the music is good.  It has a message for the world, to enlighten, to inspire and to heal.  The music of Le Mystique can transcend many genres.  Most of which being; Indie/Alternative rock.

Dukelow sings baritone, and has a similarity to Depeche Mode’s David Gahan.

There is a nice fusion of electronica and a touch of a bluesy David Gilmore and other various guitar riffs.   Most of the songs are rhythmic and fluid.    2018 is going to be a great year for Le Mystique, with several songs in motion pictures pending.  It also brings about the soon to be released LP, “A Deeper Space”.

Madstone

Madstone

This is MadStone. It’s the music of Steve Burnside, James Stone and Mark Doolin. Andy Ramos on Bass, Maddog Tommy Souza, arguably one of the best drummers around and me. James Stone on lead vocals and guitar. This is a hard driving Southern/Country Rock.  We call it Texas Rock n Roll. Hard driving and beautiful simple melodies that aren’t simple at all.  12-string, lots of vocals, sweet leads, it grows on you.  Have a couple beers and mix it loud for best results.

Madstone brings a new form of melodic rock using beautiful haunting leads and 12 string but it’s rock n roll.

“Your Eyes” to me is one of the most beautiful melodies I’ve ever heard and the bass line with it is one of my all-time favorite bass lines.

“Waterline” is a bluesy melodic rock, quite different.

“Alone Again” rivals “Your Eyes” with another very unique 12 string picking style and a Floyd-like female vocal solo over the lead.

“Highway Song” rocks.  It’s a remake of the epic tune from Blackfoot.  Don’t worry, we paid for mechanical rights.

Dubistry

Dubistry pushes barriers. Drawing on lovers’ rock, punk and jazz, Dubistry combines club music and art music, island sounds and city streets, into brash, warm songs for dancing – and making revolution. The combinations feel organic and fresh, yet never too far from their musical roots.

Dubistry’s latest recording “FUEL FOR THE FIRE” continues the band’s maturing trajectory toward a sound that unifies musical genres. From the funk-inflected “Butterfly” to the Lover’s Rock inspired “All Through the Night” to the weighty dub of “Tomorrow”, Dubistry continues to make new sounds while respecting their influences. This is especially apparent in the reimagining of Joni Mitchell’s “Blue”, which maintains the original melody while adding classic dub rhythms and effects.
