.

.

Explain what you know about vocal training.

I know too much and practice too little.

.

.

.

Discuss the use of live instruments for recording in the studio.

I’ve never recorded live instruments, but I’d be open to do it in the future with the right people.

.

.

.

Brief us about your songwriting process.

I don’t think too much about it, if I do I get too self-conscious. I’m bombarded by song ideas all the time. Sometimes I sit down and record them. If I like it I’ll let it sit for a couple of days. If I still like it when I listen to it a second time I’ll work on it.

.

.

.

Tell us your other talents apart from singing.

Film-making. I just produced and starred in my first feature film:

BLOOD PARADISE.

I’m also scoring the movie as Baby Yaga.

For the filmmaking/acting I use my real name Andie Winter (@andiewinter).

I believe I suffer from multiple personality disorder. Baby Yaga is one of my alter- egos (@iambabyyaga)

Tell us your future plans in terms of your music career.

I just want to have fun with my music. If I make plans it gets too serious.

.

.

.

Tell us your worst experience in your music career.

I’ve had ups and downs when I was younger trying to figure out who I was… My worst experience was when a record label tried to brand me as someone I wasn’t. So I stopped making music. Now, I’m independent… I don’t think and I just do.

It happened to me when I was younger…. But if somebody messes with me now, I’ll break his kneecaps.

.

.

.

Discuss in details all we need to know about your song and album.

I wrote this song for my husband Patrick von Barkenberg. It’s a song about our relationship and how we do everything together.

.

.

.

Tell us what fans are saying about your music.

Weird & wonderful.

.

.

.

Tell us the concept behind your music project.

Baby Yaga is my alter ego. My escape from reality. I just want to have fun with it and shoot cool music videos. I’m a visual story teller so I just have a constant need of telling stories.

.

.

.

Discuss multi-genre and switching from one genre to another.

If you do it, do it with style. I don’t think too much about genres, I just do what feels right.

Share your biography with us.

I am a Swedish born musician/artist having amassed massive life experience that seeps into every aspect of my music. A word traveler, I studied music at RYTMUS in Stockholm before traveling to Paris, Milan, London and New York – finally settling in Los Angeles. With a name born from the haunting forest creature, Baba Yaga, I come to each of my musical endeavors with an altogether unique perspective. I’m inspired by the eclectic pop styling of the 1980s, counting artists such as Peter Schilling and David Bowie among my many influences.

My most recent venture is scoring the soundtrack for the Horror film BLOOD PARADISE:
