AEmplify

AEmplify (pronounced Amplify or Emplify) was cofounded in 2011 by songwriting brothers Alexander Adams and Nicholas Adams.

Alexander, who began playing guitar at the age of 13, and his younger brother, Nicholas, who began playing the bass at the age of 11, started writing, recording, and producing their own studio music in the summer of 2011. Despite neither one having any prior recording experience, the songwriting duo began learning the art of music recording from simple trial & error, research, and practice.

The songwriting duo creates their music by combining two studio recording techniques; overdub and pre-written midi. This combination of recording techniques is what allows AEmplify to create their varied multi-genre and instrument sound. AEmplify’s music captures the true art of home studio song writing while remaining unique and original.

In the spring of 2016, AEmplify released their first studio album, Unfinished Soul, which received its name from two concepts; “Unfinished”, since it was intended to have ten tracks but was released with only eight tracks, and “Soul” meaning music.

Their second studio album, No Guarantees, was released one year later in 2017. No Guarantees featured thirteen original AEmplify songs, many written on the basis of pop-rock.

In 2018, they released part one of their third studio album, Puzzles. All three AEmplify studio albums were written, recorded, and produced entirely by Alexander and Nicholas Adams. After completion of Puzzles (Part I), AEmplify returned to the studio and is currently working on the second half of their third album Puzzles.

State your reason for choosing music as a career.

Since a young age music has been a part of our lives. Nick learned bass at the age of 10 and Alexander learned guitar in his early teens. It is a part of our family and has been something we have both used to get us through tough times.
.

.

.

Tell us how you write the lyrics to your song.

Some of the song lyrics are inspired by an idea. Nick usually writes lyrics based on personal experiences in his life. The song Beyond This Pain is a breakup song about a tough relationship let down and how those moments in life can change our dreams that we had for our life.
.

.

.

Discuss your life outside the music world.

Both Alexander and Nick work outside of music. They record music on the weekends. Alexander is an engineer and Nick is studying Information Technology while working at a factory.

.

.

.

Discuss your music career.
Our music career mostly consists of writing music and recording that music every weekend. It’s a greatly enjoyed hobby that we pour a lot of time and effort and heart in to.

.

.

.

Elaborate on your artist’s name.

We wanted a name that was unique. AEmplify is a combination of the words Amplify and Emplify. The original logo was designed as a fraction with the A over the E. It was sort of supposed to look like an equation. A/Emplify.

.

.

.

Tell us your source of inspiration.
Inspiration comes from life events but also from observations about the world around us.

.

.

.

Tell us your impression on dealing with paparazzi.

Haven’t had to deal with that yet. Haha

.

.

.

Elaborate on the recording of this song.

This song was fun to record. We made several attempts at it but never found the sound we were looking for. One day Nick felt inspired and rehashed a new version and it stuck.
.

.

.

Tell us your future projects.
We are currently working on a rock album.
.

.

.

Tell us your point of view on vocal tuning.
Vocals are an instrument, but we mostly look for a natural sound.

.

.

.

State the title of the song and the meaning.

Falling Eyes: Falling Eyes is about realizing that there is love around you but your problems and hurts blind you to that. The opening line is “you think you’re lonely, you had a bad dream, life ain’t always what you want it to be” We get so caught up in the struggles in life we lose sight of having love and receiving love.
.

.

.

State the title of the album and the reason for choosing the title.

Puzzles (Part I) is part of a two part album and is named based on the cover of the album which is a word search containing all the song titles of the album.
