Phatboy – My Letter

Raymond Moore was born in Oakland, California, in 1974. I grew up playing sports like baseball, football, and boxing. I started rapping in 1996 with an artist that was signed with Atlanta records name Coz and my artist name is PhatBoy Mr. OG. During his record deal, Coz, and I did a nationwide tour with some other artists that were signed with the label from Los Angeles. We promoted the song called “Keep My Soul” produced by No Joe of Rap-a-lot records. We have done many shows, our first performance was in New York at a private showcase called the ‘ill style’ with many famous artists such as Ice T, Buster Rhymes, Old Dirty Bastard etc….We also performed at a showcase in Texas given by Source Magazine and there we performed with the Luniz when they were promoting 5 on it. After we did the tour I stopped rapping and I moved to Norway with my wife in 2000. In 2002 I got a sponsorship from a hip-hop clothes brand company from Denmark called Pyscho Cowboy Streetwear. I was performing in Denmark’s International fashion shows that they have 4 times a year. I performed, in front of some of the biggest known brand fashion liners, that the world has to offer, such as Hilfiger, Guess, Levis etc…The company went out of business so then I lost my deal and it was hard for me to bounce back into the game. It’s 2018 and I am signed with a label out of New York called Bentley Records and now I am ready to show the world what real music sounds like because I am confident with all of my experience and passion for the music this time around I will succeed and become what I was put on this Earth to be and that is a great musician.

“MY LETTER”

The one and only Phatboy Mr. OG  from the Bay Area has just released his new smashing hit “My Letter” is a phenomenon. Phatboy wrote this in support of all the prison inmates that have been wrongfully accused of crimes that they did not commit. This style of rap he has created is a Tupac inspired type of artwork. He has own style of dressing up tunes with melodies that are just unforgettable and undeniable to the ears. The rap industry is going to have to give this man his respect, for his courageous outspoken verbal intellect on matters that need to be addressed. Cathrine Hovland, the singer in the song has a perfect voice for the melodies that he creates “Fantastic” those two together on tracks are unstoppable they are a force to be reckoned with in the industry.

Elaborate on this song.

This story is about a man that has been accused of a murder that he did not do. The Police are responsible for the unjust death. The accused has been sitting in jail for many years and none of his friends or family members has ever come to visit him and he’s begging and pleading for them to come and see him before he died.

Discuss your recording.

When I record I like to have fun but in a serious way. Most of the time when I record it takes me 20 minutes to record a song. I master the lyrics to perfection so that allows me to save time and money.

Tell us how boring or exciting the music career can be.

When things are not moving along as you would like; it can be a bit boring because you are not seeing good results.

On the other hand, if things are going well it can be very exciting. From doing shows, interviews, touring etc….

State your artist’s name and elaborate on it.

PhatBoy Mr. OG is a cool guy that has lived a hard life in the streets of California. The name means super cool original gangster that likes to tell real-life stories. My friends gave me this name because of my cool swag and kindness but they know I don’t take any crap when it comes to ignorance.

State the title of the song and the meaning.

“My Letter” – I’m trying to be a spokesperson for all the innocent people that have been locked up for no reason and because they don’t have a voice. I call this song my letter because it seems fit for this case and matter that I should be writing a letter to my family.
