3 Dice Ceno – American Evil
Washington D.C. born and Miami raised is nothing more than information when it’s comes to recording artist 3 Dice Ceno. Most rappers today have an adverse style. Nothing new and the same material recycled over and over. But not 3 Dice Ceno; 3 Dice Ceno’s style is so diverse and it is almost impossible to pin point where the artist comes from. He delivers bar after bar of hardcore hip hop style truth. No auto tune or mumbling. This artist is clean, clear and natural in all he does from sound to presentation. His music reminds you of a time hip hop musicians stood for justice, self-consciousness and the music held a message. Whether that message was having fun, survival or truth … there was a message embedded in the music. And 3 Dice Ceno takes us to that time again while staying true to himself and his journey. The fact that he can add a taste of today … shows the difference of opinion in hip hop today is not a generational gap … it’s a talent gap. Talent comes from all generations. And 3 Dice Ceno is a prime example of that. To every listener looking for something new and fresh, not just new … but recycled…. get a load of 3 Dice Ceno. Embrace this young man’s career as he embraces the true essence of hip hop.

Share your life story with us.
I’m a Washington D.C born living out Montgomery County till 5yr old, then Miami/South Broward raised artist, now out Maryland from being out Baltimore for 3 years … back in 2005 to 2009 with Mental Head Bangerz put together by General Beats. My story starts with me being not really into hip hop/rap music until I was round 13-14 years old. My story developed from mother and father separation, mother moving to Miami and me later.

Yea, I would like to thank Lavar Hayes who is a promoter/CEO of his own catering company (Sweettooth Catering) for every opportunity to do an event and support, Bzell for the same support and opportunities to do shows, DJ Symphony who allowed me a slot on Wu-Invasion Vol.1 which just did 5 million downloads and also look for a project (collaboration with me and DJ Symphony), the listeners who downloaded and purchased my music on iTunes or ever dropped a like or comment to one of my pages, Adi Ladison (Rayne Strom) for the support and allowing me to be a part of the Digiindie Presents Radio Mixtape Series and a featured artist on the website digiindie.com, Patrick of (Symphonic distributions) and SpyCamz for looking out on the Dru Hix and the SoundCloud/Symphonic distributions. Narrate your experience while recording in the studio or while touring.
One of the experiences I have had while recording was the first time I would be introduced to recording without pen/pencil or pad. General Beats would tell us that he would expect more from like a day we put the pen/pencil and pad up. My first two tries at freestyling a whole track came out dull but later I would learn to put concepts, wordplay, and bar structure. Wherein I think the song ” The Satisfaction ” with me and Po is where I think I would put together wordplay and bar structure following Po on the concept and then to hear how the material lay on the beat, all that time thinking how could I make a track line up with the vocals making a song and giving that potential for me came with having put down the pen/pencil and pad.

Discuss your songwriting.
Like I stated earlier I don’t write my music; I recite the music as I’m recording in punches. Sometimes I might play a beat till I get 4 to 8 bars take from take, build a concept if I can around that, build a bar structure, and create a song. I also recite bars acapella with no beat that might come up with a track; just off the vibe I was having then find a beat and if it matches up or at least to me then there’s a song.

Tell us what you are doing to increase your fan base.
To increase my fan base I’m performing at out of state and in-state venues; throwing my brand out there through flyers, exchanging social media handles, networking with DJs, sponsors, distribution companies, blogs, mixtapes, venues. At the moment I’m currently headed up to New York to open Big Pun’s son Chris Rivers at the iamfreestyle.com Level Up Concert Series. I am also trying to get my music in the hands of TV series and movie director; seeing if my music is a fit for any project that might have going on at the time.

Tell us that point in time you wanted to give up on your music career.
It’s been many times I have wanted to go other way and leave the music where it’s at, but in all reality the hardest thing is to start an independent career especially when you look at it like a business and got to learn the ins and outs by yourself, there is no manager pointing in any direction just me making the call on what song should be pushed, done at a show and sold. Like there was this one time I did a show and while on stage I just want to say alright this is where I think I’m done with it, but everybody starts to walk back in after four bars of my first performance track they lift up their phones and vibe with me through the rest of the performance telling me to keep going and letting me know my music is getting reach or in other words being heard and recognized.

Go into detail on how you make your instrumentation or melody.
I don’t do any of my instrumentation or melodies right now. I got a lot of producers I deal with as far as my beat selection. But the producers I choose have a lot to do with what fits my style of rapping.

Elaborate on this song.
The song “American Evil” is a track about how evil is installed in people by everyday occurrences whether it is through bullying, restraint of not being allowed or having lack thereof.
