Travis Collins – Happy

Collins, a six-time Golden Guitar and back-to-back CMC Male Artist of the Year winner, says his new (sixth) album delves into the depths of the human soul and spirit, the good and the bad, the happy and sad. The album, Brave & The Broken, which headed straight to the top of iTunes charts on release (#3 Main chart/ #1 Country), debuted at #1 on the ARIA Country Album chart.

Every track on the album was either written or co-written by Travis himself. A dynamic guitarist, vocalist and live performer, Travis Collins continues to excite as a songwriter with Brave & The Broken. Armed with new songs for the album, Travis returned to Nashville in January this year for a whirlwind recording session with producer of the moment, Luke Wooten (Brad Paisley, Dierks Bentley) and a studio band including Mike Rojas (Luke Bryan) on keys, acoustic guitarist Carl Miner (Taylor Swift) and bassist Jimmy Carter (Alan Jackson).

To celebrate the release of his album, Travis drops his second single, Happy. As Travis describes it, “This song is one of my favourites on the album… it’s a ‘caution to the wind / do what makes you feel good’ message – sometimes we forget that life is short, and we really should do whatever makes us ‘Happy’.”

As Travis adds, “At the very crux of this album, it’s about finding something that’s good for your heart, and latching onto it.”
