BSB analyzed their individual DNA profiles to see what crucial element each member represents in the groups DNA.

– To see how their individual strains, when brought together, create the unstoppable and legendary Backstreet Boys.

“When this group started 26 years ago – and through all the highs and lows of our career – we’ve had to learn it wasn’t about us as individuals but about what’s best for the group,” says Howie D.

“That’s what I love about this album,” adds Kevin Richardson. “We were able to bring all of our influences and styles into one coherent piece of work. These songs are a great representation of who we are as individuals and who we are as a group. It’s our DNA. We’re really proud of that.”

“The journey is ongoing with us and there is so much left to do,” says Brian Littrell. “We’re living the next chapter that hasn’t been told yet, and that’s exciting.”

After 14 months of setting and breaking records in Las Vegas, BSB’s residency “Backstreet Boys: Larger Than Life” will come to an end on April 27, 2019.

“Vegas has been amazing and these next set of dates are going to be a party,” says Howie. “Then it’s time for us to visit our fans all over the world.”

Andreas Kanellos is a young singer-songwriter from Greece, Lefkada island, who writes pop, dance and pop-rock songs (with lyrics in Greek or English). He is mainly characterized by his melodic ballads and emotional, touching, somewhat intimate way of singing.

His first ballad in Greek “Gia Sena” – “For You” (recorded only with piano at the time) had noticeable response from Greek audience on YouTube, reaching over 100,000 views. Andreas was contacted by several local radio stations of Greece and Germany in 2010 to air the song. Although the ballad had absolutely no promotion or marketing behind it, “Gia Sena” got many positive comments; which was quite unusual for a piano song.

Andreas’ self-written and self-arranged dance song “Esi ki Ego” (“You and Me”) was successful with FM-radio listeners in Russia and Ukraine. The single was twice in Top 40 of “TopHit Audience Choice”. (TopHit is the most powerful airplay chart provider in Russian territory)…

Wayne William – Don’t Fade Away

Wayne William is a Maltese singer/songwriter and music producer. He began performing professionally at the age of thirteen and fell in love with writing. Wayne lives and breathes music. He is incredibly dedicated to writing and producing his own compositions to perfection. “The style of my music, as you know it today, didn’t happen overnight,” he states. “It was years of searching and developing my skills, performing with different bands and studying at Berklee Music until finally discovering my sound”. It’s always been my passion to write music with musical and lyrical depth. I want to create songs that my fans can relate to and understand. I want my music to speak to people and their lives.”

Wayne William’s life was always filled with music. His father was a well-known musician in Malta and his mother, a dancer. His parents shared their love for music with Wayne and his siblings. As a child, he studied music and learned to play the piano. “My dad was always strict with us, “says Wayne, “and made us practice every day. I’m thankful now that he always pushed me to sing better, to play better, and to perform better.” Wayne was only seven when he and his siblings had their first performance with their father’s band. Wayne still enjoys playing regularly with his sister and two brothers.

After performing with the Mics and returning home from a UK tour with the former band “Castaway,” Wayne launched his solo career as an artist. He has taken part in local and international festivals.

Wayne loves performing live, and has performed in concerts across the UK and Malta. His singles have been well received on the Islands, while reaching top positions on radio charts.

Wayne and his brother, Richard Edwards, created Battle of the Brothers, benefit concerts for Malta’s Puttinu Cares. The charity, Puttinu Cares, helps children with cancer get the treatment they need. “It all started with Rainbow Ward and seeing the kids,” describes Wayne. “Straight afterwards Rich and I knew we wanted to get involved. We’re really passionate about this charity and Battle of the Brothers. It’s a great experience to connect with our fans in this way and lend a hand to the kids who benefit from Puttinu.”

Wayne has dedicated his entire life to music. It’s his ambition to have success with it wherever life leads him and most importantly for people to enjoy the music.

“I feel that this is just the start for me, “says Wayne.” And I’m looking forward to the future and what happens next.”

Cheryl – Love Made Me Do It

Cheryl, born Cheryl Ann Tweedy and formerly known as Cheryl Cole, was a dancer and model prior to becoming a member of the record-breaking European pop group Girls Aloud.

As a youngster, the Newcastle, England native won several modeling competitions and appeared in commercials, but she made her biggest leap in 2002, when she auditioned for Popstars: The Rivals and was selected to join Girls Aloud, a group that went on to release 19 Top Ten U.K. singles within a matter of a few years. In 2009, Girls Aloud announced a yearlong hiatus, and Cheryl, who had become one of her country’s highest-profile celebrities (thanks in part to her role as a judge on another British singing competition, The X Factor, whose weekly audience swelled to 14 million viewers after she joined the cast), took advantage of the down time to record her first solo album.

The surprisingly conservative 3 Words appeared in October 2009, featuring collaborations with will.i.am, Soulshock & Karlin, and Syience. Led by the Wayne Wilkins-produced “Fight for This Love,” a number one hit and the fastest-selling British single of 2009, the album went platinum in two weeks. Cheryl’s second album, Messy Little Raindrops, followed in November 2010 and fared similarly well, going platinum on the strength of hit singles like “Promise This.” Once again, several tracks were produced by Wilkins, while will.i.am, J.R. Rotem, and Free School were involved in smaller capacities.

Cheryl’s career in the U.S. turned into a roller coaster ride, when she was first picked by Simon Cowell to be a judge on the American version of The X Factor, then left the show under controversial circumstances after only three weeks. She then declined to return to the original U.K. version of the show and decided to focus on her recording career. Her third album, A Million Lights, featured the Calvin Harris-produced single “Call My Name” and was released in June 2012 in the U.K.

In late 2012, Cheryl confirmed that she would rejoin Girls Aloud for a reunion tour, which also resulted in the release of the charity single “Something New,” before the group members confirmed in 2013 that they had split permanently. After taking a break for much of 2013, she returned to the limelight in 2014 with the announcement she had married Frenchman Jean-Bernard Fernandez-Versini, four years after her split with English soccer star Ashley Cole. That year she regained her place on the judging panel of The X Factor and announced the release of her fourth studio album, Only Human. Its first two singles, “Crazy Stupid Love” and “I Don’t Care,” topped the U.K. pop chart.

Wiyaala – Make Me Dance

Wiyaala, Ghana’s latest musical sensation forges her way into the worldwide market with Afro-Pop single, “Make Me Dance.”

Noella Wiyaala, or simply Wiyaala, is a personification of modern Africa: creative, brave, strong, beautiful. The singer/songwriter from the Upper West of Ghana infuses the giant pop sounds of David Foster with the modern funk and flair of Janelle Monae. Wiyaala now brings her own powerful voice and bold image to the world with “Make Me Dance” through Djimba World Records.

“Make Me Dance” is a dance anthem of a new club season, perfectly working on radio, designed for a sing-along… The acoustic version of “Make Me Dance” makes the song sound even deeper and more touching.

Wiyaala’s music isn’t the only thing she works hard at though. Her name, Wiyaala, literally translates to “the doer” in Sissala, her tribal language in which she sings alongside English, and perfectly describes her approach to life. She is an artist, designer, actress, model, natural athlete, and an ambassador of African culture.

Wiyaala is also known for standing up for women’s rights, having a very distinctive androgynous image herself. She would often get called “man-woman” by the boys in grade school but would also be the first to lead the boys and girls into the bushes for wild hunts. Wiyaala is Tina Turner of Ghana, just less feminine.

In celebration of the 50th anniversary of the release of the Jimi Hendrix Experience masterpiece ELECTRIC LADYLAND, Experience Hendrix, L.L.C. and Legacy Recordings, the catalogue division of Sony Music Entertainment, are releasing the Deluxe Edition box set on November 9. Available as either a 3CD/1 Blu-ray set or a 6LP/1 Blu-ray set, both packages include the original double album, now newly remastered by Bernie Grundman from the original analogue tapes. For the LP set, Grundman prepared an all analogue direct to disc vinyl transfer of the album, preserving the authenticity.  Also included is ELECTRIC LADYLAND: THE EARLY TAKES, which presents demos and studio outtakes from this period in Hendrix’s career, plus a new 5.1, surround sound mix of the entire original album by Hendrix’s original engineer Eddie Kramer. This marks the first and only time this has been done with a Hendrix studio album, and gives listeners the original stereo mixes in uncompressed 24 bit/96 kz high resolution audio.

“I had always dreamed of mixing ELECTRIC LADYLAND in 5.1 surround sound,” says Eddie Kramer, who engineered every Hendrix album made during his life, and produced or co-produced nearly all of his posthumous material. “It always felt to me as the perfect vehicle for the kind of adventuresome stuff that Jimi and I were trying to do in 1968. The visceral thrill when we completed the first surround mix of ‘Voodoo Child (Slight Return)’ was palpable. It was an overwhelming experience-pun intended. We viewed this song as the surround test and the moment I heard it I flashed back on those moments when Jimi and I were mixing the stereo album, laughing at our attempts to find that ‘elusive’ sound.” The Blu-ray for ELECTRIC LADYLAND DELUXE EDITION will contain these 5.1 surround sound mixes – a first for any studio album in the Hendrix canon.

JIMI HENDRIX EXPERIENCE: LIVE AT THE HOLLYWOOD BOWL 9/14/68, part of Experience Hendrix’s Dagger Records official bootleg series, is another exclusive component. The never before released recording captures the band and the mounting excitement that took place just weeks before the release of ELECTRIC LADYLAND. The Blu-ray also includes the acclaimed, feature length documentary AT LAST… THE BEGINNING: THE MAKING OF ELECTRIC LADYLAND.

Lastly, ELECTRIC LADYLAND DELUXE EDITION includes a full colour, 48-page book containing Jimi’s handwritten lyrics, poem and instructions to his record label, as well as never before published photos from the recording sessions that were shot by Eddie Kramer himself.

Kris James – Anymore

Following the success of his debut top 40 single ‘Eyes Open’ Kris James returns this autumn with his highly anticipated new single ‘Anymore’. The self-penned single is taken from Kris’ debut album which is set to be released in 2019. The 80’s inspired electro-pop track is produced by Tom Fuller, who is best known for his work with Robbie Williams & David Guetta.

Kris describes the track: This is a completely new sound for me, and I’m excited for everyone to hear it. The inspiration of the track is about escaping the rat race of life, for a week in the sunshine with the person you love. With incredible floor filler remixes of ‘Anymore’ by the likes of WideBoyz (Example and Lorde) and Steve Smart (Jonas Blue and Aloe Blacc) Kris is on course to be the act that everyone will be talking about this autumn. ‘Anymore’ can be pre-ordered on Spotify & iTunes from the 12th October 2018 and will be available on all major outlets on the November 9th.

.

List the names of your biggest supporters.

My Fans and my Mother!

.

.

.

Explain what has motivated you so far in your music career.

I’m always motivated to do stuff however my followers really motivated me. I love meeting them and listening to what they have to say about my music.

.

.

.

Discuss your experience as an artist.

Well I’ve been in and out of bands so had a lot of experience. I think everyone in music goes through so many different stages within the business. I’ve traveled all over the world with all my projects so I am very fortunate to have had that experience. Now I’m solo and concentrating on that.

.

.

.

Tell us the biggest mistake you have ever made in your music career.

I don’t think I’ve made one yet. Maybe at the start being too shy! Possibly missed a few good opportunities because I was too shy to do it.

.

.

.

Discuss the story behind the song.

‘Anymore’ is about escaping the rat race of life; leave all your troubles behind and get away on holiday with the person you love. Could even be your best mate. 😉 We all have our daily struggles so I thought it would be a great song for everyone when they need an escape.

.

.

.

Tell us how to fund a music project.

Well I’m so lucky I now have a lovely label. When I started out I used to work all week to be able to go on the weekends to record in the studio. It’s hard but worth it in the end when you get discovered.

.

.

.

Discuss your opinion on the safety of fans during shows and live performances.

We always have a full service of security whenever I am on a show or support. Once I come off stage I will go and meet people first so that way they can get home before everything closes down.

.

.

.

Tell us the greatest piece of advice someone has given you as an artist.

Never EVER GIVE UP.

.

.

.

Tell us what you will improve or change in your music.

Well I think now am solo, I can have so much more control on what I do and out. Being in a band that doesn’t always happen. So I’m really excited to see how the next years go. I love 80’s music so my album is going to have a bit of that in there like my new single ‘Anymore’. Let’s wait and see! Time will tell.

.

.

.

Discuss vocal training and how you protect your vocal.

Well when I was young I would just sing all the time and I actually damaged my vocal chord! So now I have fixed that I have singing lessons every week. I also warm up and really take care of my voice. It’s so important to do this from the beginning.

.

.

.

Discuss your best mood during performance.

I’m always happy. Put me on a stage and I’m slight nervous but then once that goes I’m really happy haha. I even tell a joke or two!!!

.

.

.

State your artist’s name and elaborate on it.

Kris James – It’s my name I don’t know what to say. Haha.

.

.

.

List your best artists with reasons.

John Lennon – Best songwriting ever.

Prince – Best performer and songwriter.

Frank Sinatra – King of swing!

One republic – Amazing songwriting.

The 1975 – Coolest band around. The songs are amazing.

Coldplay – Unbeatable sounds and songwriting.

.

.

.

Tell us the greatest problem you think is facing the society and the solution.

We have many problems. Climate change is a huge one we all need to do our part then we can fix this or at least try to. Religious conflicts – this is the cause of most of our wars. I don’t know the answer but I would just say. All we need is love. Maybe if we loved each other more we wouldn’t have these problems. Final one is Poverty. Again we need to help each other and love each other. All of the above can be remedied if we just love more in all aspects.

.

.

.

Discuss your songwriting and recording.

For me I love making music from the ground up. I don’t like writing on top of track. I like to get in to a room with no more than two people and basically jam. Is it me or does nobody jam anymore! I love to play music and once we start playing some really hooky ideas I will start to create some melodies and then form a structure and then put the lyrics and title. Usually about past experience or current day issues.
