Malory – Last to Die

Known for a string of apocalyptic themed singles which made up her debut EP ‘Dystopia’ earlier this year, multicoloured pop artist Malory, who recently signed to Extreme Music drops her latest single ‘Last To Die’ and with it, announces news of her debut album entitled ‘Cornucopia’ which is due for release early next year.

The melodic piano driven ‘Last To Die’ shows off a more stripped back approach, full of charm and musical expression as sing-along choruses pepper the feel good slice of alt pop. Produced by Nick Kingsley in his Crouch End studio, lyrically we see Malory dive deep into a joyous celebration of love, as the song seemingly wrote itself, she explains:

“You know that feeling of being so in love with someone that the whole world fades around you when you’re alone together, nothing else exists! The production came together just as easily as it did to write, flowing out of me; we took influences from Noah and The Whale and F.U.N. It takes you on a journey and builds, I always feel so uplifted and joyful after listening to it.”

Malory’s leftfield take on pop has received plenty of plaudits from the likes of BBC Introducing, XFM (John Kennedy), BBC Radio 2 (Dermot O’Leary) and BBC London. Metro (Artist Of The Day), Wonderland, The 405 and Dork Magazine. On the road, highlights include supporting George Ezra on tour and live performances at BBC Introducing Hyde Park and The Great Escape 2018.

Malory has enjoyed placements including the Cannes Lions Grand prix winning advert ‘Project Literacy’, spots on ABC’s Dancing With The Stars, MTV’s ‘The Challenge’ and her debut single “Rapture” is set to appear in Ben Kingsley’s next movie, ‘Nomis’…
