Beema Beatz + Chiae – Tricks

Beema Beatz has become a prominent name in Hip-Hop, R&B, and Pop production. Because American rap music was becoming saturated with bland content, Beema sought to develop a different skill in music – beat-making. His interest in urban music production began in his teenage years. At this time, he was not really keen on traveling and wasn’t aware of the opportunities outside of his environment. “It was all about going to school, doing my homework, then going out, rapping, and hanging out with my friends. I actually began producing because of a bet that I and my friends did.” Beema says. “Next thing I knew, half of Brooklyn knew about my production skills, and I became a hood celebrity!” Eventually, he started meeting artists from various states and countries to collaborate on music projects.

All in all, Beema Beatz is determined to reshape the sound of modern urban music. Through his melodic string-based instrumentation to hard-hitting 808 drums, he has the talent to change the direction of the music business. Beema states, “I want to help striving artists make hit records, because I love doing it, and I love being part of something special”.

Norris Bennett A.K.A. N.B the Rapper/Sanger Dude was born in Douglas, GA. N.B moved around a lot as a child due to his father’s career in the military. While constantly traveling, and discovering different cultures as well as environments, doors were opened to many things. Eventually, it turned into his life’s mission to become an entertainer. Starting around the age of four N.B would sing as well as perform for family, friends, neighbors, and anyone around who was willing to listen. Whenever music came on, N.B was front, and center doing his thing. That was the start of his lifelong passion for music, singing, performing, as well as all-around entertaining. Having a vision of controlling his own destiny N.B decided to make it happen independently for himself, and South Georgia as a whole. N.B became a man on a mission, to be heard, seen as well as taken seriously in the music industry. He set his sights on mastering his singing voice. Shortly after that N.B began to rap.

In 2006 he decided to quit his job to pursue music full time. Although his influences are T.I, Ludacris, R. Kelly, Musiq Soulchild, T-Pain, and Usher; N.B strives to be different, while standing out as an entertainer that’s continuing to grow and develop his talents.

In 2010 he relocated to Florida, one of the best decisions he’s made in his career. He began doing shows in Orlando, Daytona, and other parts of Florida, doing both radio and magazine interviews, mixtapes, and even making his acting debut on TruTv’s South Beach Tow Season 3 episodes 16, 17, and 18. He also appeared in “Web Series” by Comedy Flo Entertainment. He also was on”Ballers” a new series for HBO staring Dewayne “The Rock” Johnson playing the part of Vernon’s Crew. He was also cast on Alvin and the Chipmunks 4 as a Paparazzi. N.B has also recently inked a co-publishing deal with Kicksta Muzik Publishing (BMI) to assist him with film and television placement opportunities. N.B has an EP out called “Mr will throw it” as well as other movie and TV acting roles…

Scott Kirby – Something to Move

Kirby has been exploring guitar and writing songs since the age of twelve. Kirby’s wide range of influences helped hone his individual voice in songwriting. He notes his larger inspirations to be Bob Dylan, Neil Young, REM, Tom Petty, Stevie Wonder, and Johnny Cash.

Kirby has nine album releases to his name (Long Way Home, Apple Love, Good Morning Jo, B Tapes Vol 1, A Day On The Lake, Live at CT’s Deli, November Snow… and amped up his sound with his 2017 single ‘Love Is Just’, produced by Grammy-winning producer Jeff Bova (Album of the Year, Celine Dion, Falling Into You).

Drawing on his variety of influences, Kirby delivers an undeniably original sound and authenticity to his performance by combining stunning guitar work, harmonica, and gritty, passionate vocals. Kirby’s writing style and song form are as tasteful as they are smooth. This evokes a very real connection with his listeners.

Now, Scott is letting his inner Blues Rock persona shine in his new single, ‘Something to Move’ released September 7, 2018. From Sleeping Bag Studios, “Scott’s got a solid scorcher here that’s bursting with rhythm & passion at the seams…another great tune from what’s clearly an artist that gives everything he’s got to his music, every time.” This charged track stirs up swampy, gritty images and reminds us that the Blues are timeless. A modern take on the backbone of popular music, ‘Something To Move’ is a driving, vivid depiction of life outside popular culture.

Hyde Out – Talk to Me

Technicolour Ghost is the first album by Hyde Out, a duo from London, UK. The album was recorded over a period of 4 years. Mostly in a garden shed at night. As the garden tools and spiders made an exit and instruments and equipment slowly moved in when the sunset, the shed slowly evolved into a bonafide night-time recording studio. The song “Nights” catches that mood, as it talks of enjoying the cold London nights. The group members, Omar and Jaka, sing and play all instruments on the album. When they met 4 years ago in West London, they enjoyed strumming and singing together at parties. Then they started writing, just for fun. And then they ended up putting an album together. Again; mainly accidentally and just for fun. Musically they have very different backgrounds and tastes (it’s amazing they even get along), something which is reflected in the eclectic nature of their album. They like to think there’s a bit of everything in there… From chill acoustic tunes like “Nights” and “Bring on” to moody ballads like “Rain” and “Fluent in Silence”, and from British-rock songs like “Open Chain”, “Over This” and “Hollow” to harder pieces like “Passer-by”, “Times” and “Speed Up”. And then there’s “Talk to Me”, a catchy and fun rock song featuring beer bottles in the rhythm section and other improvised instruments.

Brutus Begins – The Nothing Here

Brutus Begins is a project by Canadian psych-folk artist Ricardo Temporao. The Hamilton-based musician resamples and processes elements of nature, acoustic instruments, and synthesizers to create a sonic landscape that blurs the lines between the real and the reconstructed.   The songwriting and storytelling remain the heart of a world that mirrors our own – commenting on our vices, ambitions and ultimately our evolution.

Brutus Begins released “Uncanny Valley” to critical praise. It’s been described as “…a juggernaut of a debut”, “phenomenal”, “as addicting and inviting as a soma hit” and “…one of the most compelling and high-quality debuts we’ve heard in a decade”.

Canadian psych-folk project Brutus Begins teases their upcoming album release with 2 new tracks.  “The Nothing Here” and “Feed Me a Heart”. The music video for “The Nothing Here” is being featured in the Memphis Film and Video Festival.  They’ll follow up a southwestern Ontario shows with a month-long residency at Toronto’s Painted Lady in April of 2019.

“The Nothing Here” was featured on Global News and called an “undiscovered gem” by radio personality Alan Cross.  “Feed Me a Heart” is furthering Brutus Begins’ reputation for melodic songwriting enhanced with original samples and vivid arrangements.

Deadbeat Blackout – Nemesis

Deadbeat Blackout is an all original heavy rock/metal band formed in 2017 in Olympia, WA. Taking various influences from rock and metal bands from the past and present, along with throwing in some punk and melodic touches for flavor, the result became Deadbeat Blackout’s brand of high energy music with no bullshit!

Deadbeat Blackout is also the combination of Hekate on vocals, Mike Uuereb on guitar, Craig Fredrickson on drums, and Chris Johnson on bass. This dynamic was started with Mike and Craig meeting in early 2017 and sharing a common vision of how they wanted to bring their music to the masses. Both had been in various music projects in the past but wanted this project to completely utilize and incorporate the talents and personalities of EVERYONE involved to shape the music and what the band would become.

After a long and exhausting search for the right guy to carry the bass load, they found the talented, hardworking Chris Johnson to deliver the bottom end that the band wanted and needed. Another long and exhausting search for the right vocalist continued until the stars and skies aligned and they met with the ultra-talented Hekate. Her high energy personality, skilled vocal dynamics, and arduous work ethic were the perfect fit for the band. The music was written and shaped by all four very quickly and Deadbeat Blackout was born!

Today, Deadbeat Blackout has played various clubs and stages around the Puget Sound region, including Louie G’s Pizza, The Funhouse, The Skylark, Studio Seven, Erebus, The Substation, The Plaid Pig Live Music Lounge, The Anchor Pub, Tim’s Tavern, The Lucky Liquor, McCoy’s Tavern, Le Voyeur and the Bethel Saloon. Hekate’s high energy stage presence and vocal dynamics, along with the tight and talented musicianship of Mike, Craig, and Chris has brought them many friends and followers that have become a part of the ever-growing Deadbeat Blackout family, including one Tom Smith, who’s love, and support has become invaluable to them.

Deadbeat Blackout released their self-titled studio EP in July 2018 and also has a Live EP; “Live at The Skylark” recorded April 7, 2018.  Deadbeat Blackout is planning for a full studio album to be recorded and released in early 2019. In the meantime and well into the future Deadbeat Blackout will stay busy with their signature live performances.

PLAY IT LOUD, BECAUSE WE DO! – This is not just a cheesy tagline. This is the philosophy of what Deadbeat Blackout stands for. Make your presence known in this world, and you will leave a mark on it. Crank it up to 11 and give it all you got! Love It, Live It, DIG IT!

Kali Ra – Sunset Boulevard

Kali Ra is an Avant pop group originally from OKC but first started in Chicago. Their first gig was at Reggie’s Rock Club in Chicago (the CBGB’s of Chi-Town). Their music has been compared to David Bowie, Nick Cave, Depeche Mode, The Cure, Massive Attack, Prince, Killing Joke, The Polyphonic Spree, Philip Glass, Vivaldi, and Trent Reznor (depending on the song). The distinction comes from a focus on well-orchestrated songs with a focus on lyrics and vocals but through a filter of modern art.  The subject material can range from politics, religion, grief, and other nightmarish things to positive character stories and positive progressive messages. The live shows are grandiose – replete with glamour, energy, and enough personnel to consider it an orchestra. They’ve won awards for their music videos, released two full-albums, done national tours, opened for legendary acts (such as David J, Assemblage 23, Voltaire, etc.). The stylistic shift has moved from indie goth to orchestral pop and funk, as evident in their newly recorded album – The Monarch. It is set to drop in 2019.

Kali Ra will be giving people a taste of the upcoming full-length album, The Monarch, with this new single – titled, “Sunset Boulevard”.  It was recorded and produced by Grammy Award-winning producer Trent Bell. The music video was directed by Jonathan Shahan. The music video touches on the entertainment industry, gender-fluidity, and the current state of art…
