I have a small studio where I record. I use a computer but really wish for a 32 channel tape recorder. I think everything sounds much better in old recordings.
Tell us the story behind the song.
Oh, it was a period when I didn’t feel that well and was honest about it, and the song kind of wrote itself. I was in the studio playing my guitar and singing out whatever came and this is what came out. 🙂

I play guitar, bass, piano, drums and recently I bought a cello that I’m trying to learn, and then vocals…
Tell us how long it takes to complete a song from the start.
It depends. Writing a song can take everything from 10 minutes to 10 weeks…sometimes you are lucky sometimes not…but the recording of a song including mixing usually takes 2-3 days.
Go into detail on how you develop your lyrics and melody.
I just play and sing whatever comes up…improvising…some melodies and words stuck in my heart and head and usually is the embryo for a new song. The rest is about the structure and to complete melody and lyrics. For me, melodies are easier to complete than lyrics. The beginning is creative and heartfelt and then the intellect comes to complete it all…
