Emerging singer-songwriter Lydia Briggs brings to light the song entitled “Silver Rings” with Stunning Studio Shoot.
“Silver Rings’ shows the power of Lydia’s raw vocals and the excellence in her songwriting.
Lydia is no doubt a brilliant vocalist that knows how to craft extraordinary songs.
Cleveland-based singer-songwriter Lydia Briggs releases new single, “Silver Rings.”
Working again with Cleveland-based videographers, Clockwork 9, the music video premieres on the day of the release on her YouTube channel.
“Silver Rings” is Briggs’ fifth release. With her busy school schedule and limited time to tour, she decided to shoot the video in the studio and take her live performance to the screen.
Briggs chose Superior Sound, where she records with producer Jim Wirt, and some of Cleveland’s busiest musicians came in to back her, including her two vocal coaches.
“Silver Rings” is a song about friendship and being at the moment.
“I was going through a dark time, but I had a really good friend to help,” says Briggs. “I was capturing a memory, a moment in time when I was just so grateful to be in the presence of a good friend. I wrote it in about fifteen minutes the night before I went into the studio to record. It came flooding out of me, and I knew I was meant to be.”
Born and raised a mile from the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, Lydia Briggs has been playing piano non-stop since the age of five.
At 13, she started writing songs, filed for her first business at 14 (her independent label, Gin House Records), and copyrighted all of her material.
At 15, Lydia teamed with producer Jim Wirt to record her first six songs and started releasing singles through her distribution partner, AWAL.
The 16-year-old musician is endowed with a pure voice, blues-influenced piano style, and a bohemian feel.
Reflecting her idol, Regina Spektor, Briggs’s brain-voice connection runs from her fingers to her heart – singing and playing the piano like one.
