Jordan Lewis brings to light an eye-catching video for the song entitled ‘Back To School Again.’
Jordan thrills with his powerful vocals and diverse instrumentation.
The touches of humour make the video more interesting.
Jordan Lewis is an outlier in a sea of musical outliers.
The Long Island bred, singer, guitar player, songwriter and producer has already had a career that most would find special and yet he keeps pressing on.
Starting his career playing in bands at eleven, Jordan became addicted to blurring musical lines.
He also wrote and performed with a pop band opening for Kendrick Lamar.
Upon moving to Los Angeles in 2013, his career took a sharp turn as he started engineering for the legendary production team of The-Dream and Tricky Stewart (Beyoncé, Justin Bieber, Rihanna). Not long after that, he met Travis Scott and Jordan worked as his personal engineer.
He recorded Scott’s first two albums, Rodeo and Birds In The Trap and he also played guitar.
He mixed Scott’s breakout track “Antidote” and worked on several hits with artists such as Drake, Miguel, Kanye West and many more.
His potential is rock-and-roll yet his music is teeming with subtle and not-so-subtle homages to his heroes.
His music is difficult to classify into a genre.
Jordan is a raw and unfiltered expression of who he is…
Lyrics:
There ain’t no point
There ain’t no point in asking you
Your explanation offers nothing new
I beat myself up till I’m black and blue
I beat myself up till I’m black and blue
End of summer going back to school
I cannot wait to get back with the crew
Something’s different but there’s nothing new
Something’s different but there’s nothing new
False pretenses send them over
Watching baseball through October
Half-finished songs
I’m falling over
You
You
Well I’m hearing secondhand that we were never friends
And now you’re saying to your granny that it had to end
Well I guess the summer’s over cause I’m on the mend
It’s back to school again
Well I’m hearing secondhand that we were never friends
And now you’re saying to your granny that it had to end
Well I guess the summer’s over cause I’m on the mend
It’s back to school again
End of summer got a lot to do
Smoking doobies when I’m with the crew
I’m staying busy to get over you
I’m staying busy to get over you
Party hard drink a lot of brew
Skinny jeans and my new hairdo
Something’s different but there’s nothing new
Something’s different but there’s nothing new
False pretenses send them over
Watching baseball through October
Half-finished songs
I’m falling over
You
You
Well I’m hearing secondhand that we were never friends
And now you’re saying to your granny that it had to end
Well I guess the summer’s over cause I’m on the mend
It’s back to school again
Well I’m hearing secondhand that we were never friends
And now you’re saying to your granny that it had to end
Well I guess the summer’s over cause I’m on the mend
It’s back to school again
