Social Gravy is the indie rock project of Belarusian musician Vee Bordukov and British producer/songwriter Brad Kohn.
The pair met at a show in downtown Los Angeles and after talking shop most of the night; they put something together themselves; hence the two formed Social Gravy.
Their collaboration began in 2014 with a couple of song ideas thrown in a jam. After a few evening sessions produced some cool material, they put together an album. Brad lined up the world-famous EastWest Studios as the place to record it.
They dropped the debut album Behind Every Yes in April 2017.
In 2019, the band released two new singles, California and Let It Out. They dropped their EP “A Different Kind” in 2020, featuring emotive Happening Now and romantic Love You Better.
About Brad Kohn
Brit rocker Brad Kohn is an award-winning producer, songwriter, artist, and engineer.
He has been playing music all his life, starting with the piano at six years old—and ten years later; he was fronting a band on the London circuit.
The accomplished musician’s production skills have seen him work with some of the industry’s biggest names, including Foo Fighters, The Prodigy, and Neil Young to name a few.
Brad went to Los Angeles in 2014 given his increased workload in the US and met Vee later that year…
About Vee Bordukov
With rock ‘n’ roll music being the dangerous forbidden fruit in Belarus—then a part of the Soviet Union—it’s no surprise that the adventurous Vee rebelled against the gray status quo and fell in love with rock.
The guitarist’s influences are rooted in classic solos from Jimi Hendrix while mixing up the bluesy passion of artists like Eric Clapton and J.J. Cale, spiced up with a love of the social commentary of The Kinks, Paul Simon, and Bob Dylan.
