Powerful Catchy Melodic Metamorphic Metaphoric Modern Meaningful Memorable Awesome Rock Music! This is Different…
David J Caron is an Irish/Italian musician, who grew up in England, now living in Ireland…his main instrument is the guitar but what he is first and foremost as an artist, is a Composer, Musician, Writer, and Producer of Melodic Metamorphic Metaphoric Modern Catchy Memorable Rock Music, that exists on a new wavelength and approach, steering away from the mainstream you’ve heard before.
Words used to describe his music have been hard to find when it doesn’t slot into any one known genre precisely… “Epic” and “different” have been suggested by some.
Guitar driven compositions, in an intricately designed and arranged mix of power rhythms and single note riffs, sometimes interlaced with secondary underlying melodic patterns of guitar and complementing synth sounds, all designed as a canvas on which to paint thought-provoking, cryptically enigmatic, and meaningful lyrics, absent of the obvious stereo-typically expected over-used Rock clichés.
Harmonic melodies to catch both the intrigue of the mind and the pleasing of the ear; somehow uplifting with unclear disguise, for not only fans of Rock Music, but fans of music itself.
2012 saw the release of “Thru Ever Ending Black” his 28 track debut album double CD, unheard of for a debut album, but no track of which he felt he could omit from the album, being a backlog of songs and themes some of which originated many years previous that he decided he had to finally unveil and unleash to the world, in order to free himself for the next build-up of ideas waiting to be born from the cauldron of his incessantly prolific particular mind…
David J Caron presents his story, his soul, his thought-provoking observations, his discoveries and essence of a character, for all to see and hear, with deep-reaching integrity and unexampled style, in the way he does best, in his music and in his words, letting the result speak for itself without the ever-present bull that many others feel they need to opt for to embellish and mask their music with.
2013 to 2014 saw the release of 7 new equally well-received Singles conforming to his signature style and philosophy, as well as a compilation album available digitally, entitled 9 Singles, comprising 5 of the shortest tracks from the debut album plus 4 new singles, which serves as a brief taster and introduction into the exclusive DJC musical Universe.
“9 Singles” is not in any way a “Best of” compilation, it must be stressed. It is in fact simply a collection of his shortest tracks that would best fit radio airplay slots, since David’s philosophy is not to write “best songs”, but to keep the same high standard to all tracks by satisfying his own set of personal requirements that he applies to all his own compositions.
His music transcends and ignores genres yet it also unites fans from all backgrounds.
2015 saw the release of a Single entitled “Magic”, in two different versions, each with different lyrics, vocal melody, and instrumentation.
Although having played in different bands over the years in both England and Ireland, David at present concentrates his work as a recording artist, making his music available for licensing to TV and Film soundtrack synchs as well as for his fans to listen to and buy.
A return to a live environment is always a fascinating possibility though, due to the endless possibilities his epic musical themes could create.
Christmas 2018, brought a one-off re-release, an updated, remixed and re-mastered real-drum version of 2017 released single “Star Angels”, a catchy rock-pop Christmas-themed track, unlike any ever heard before, which will not feature on the upcoming 2nd album.
The Epic 2nd album, “The Greatest Ever Deception” due to be released digitally on June 1st, 2019, will feature 16 tracks, presented in the order in which they were created.
DJC will, as usual, be writing, producing, and performing all instruments, as well as attempting the vocals again, which he initially recorded for his debut as guide vocal tracks, but then decided to keep…

Tell us what your fans are saying about your music.
Fans say my music is different, epic, awesome, mind-blowing, interesting, informative, catchy, melodic, memorable, meaningful, and important.

Tell us the factors you consider in choosing a song as your favorite.
I don’t have favorites. I don’t write the best songs. I have a philosophy and quality standard that I apply to all my songs so that they are all equally of the same level to satisfy my own strictly adhered personal requirements.

Tell us the names of producers you will collaborate with if you have the chance.
I co-produced my music with my friend and studio engineer, Rob Mancini, a musical artist and performer himself.

Tell us the names of the songwriters you will collaborate with if you have the chance.
I write, compose and arrange all my lyrics and music by myself. No-one else could possibly invent what I alone can invent and create.

Tell us your favorite TV show and state your reason.
TV shows these days are mostly socially conditioning, indoctrination programming of various propaganda, agendas, and mind-controlling deceptions, for the easily deceived to be distracted with and to repeat like mindless parrot-sheep, totally oblivious to the matrix of deception that enslaves their minds.
I prefer to investigate and learn the true proven facts of history and real science.

Tell us your best mood to create a song.
Sometimes riffs and melodies arrive in dreams. I have to get out of bed and record them before I forget them. I don’t need or rely on moods in order to write songs. They just come to me whenever they do.

Tell us your interpretation of fame or success.
Fame is a word that can describe someone who deserves their recognition for what they have achieved and worked hard for, as well as a word that can be used to incorrectly label many who have not deserved the description due to not having created or achieved anything at all of significance or merit.
Success is achieving any personal goal, no matter what others may believe success to be.

Tell us the names of artists you will collaborate with if you have the chance.
In terms of songwriting, I have always worked alone and like doing so.
I would like to collaborate again with other musicians so as to perform my songs in a live environment, as long as those musicians genuinely loved the music and its philosophy so as to contribute their own style and interpretation to it as more important than the money received for doing so.

Tell us about your experience performing on stage for the first time or recording in the studio for the first time.
The first time I ever performed live, was when I was at school, for a school LIVE AID charity concert, in front of the whole school.
The crowd was going wild as we stepped on stage. The excitement was palpable. My guitar pedal battery, however, decided to run out at exactly that moment, and the very first riffs I was to play, could not be heard until I figured out the problem and bypassed my pedal.
The show was a great success however and I enjoyed it immensely.
My first time in a studio, was also when I was at school, recording a band demo of a song I wrote, in a professional recording studio. It was an expensive, but fascinating, and memorable learning experience.

Tell us how you approach songwriting.
I always start with a riff that is in my head; I strum and arrange the chord sequence on an acoustic guitar.
The vocal melody then comes to me as if by destiny. It is always somehow immediately the perfect melody for the particular chord sequence.
I then arrange the song in its entirety using DAW software to record the basic structure.
When I have a structure I am 100% happy with, I then start to write lyrics to fit the melody and rhythm of the vocal line.
Again they seem to come to me as if by fate to exist with the music they will then be forever a part of, as their own destiny to co-exist.

Tell us your opinion on blending genres or experimenting with sound.
My music does not belong to any known genre. It is a genre of my own creation with many influences and possibilities.
I do not follow convention or expected clichés that annoy and bore me. There are no equivalents or comparable. This makes describing my music very difficult when music professionals ask me to tell them what genre it is or who it sounds like.
It sounds like nothing else. This is by choice and design, but also makes promotion and marketing of it, more difficult.

Tell us how you deal with rejection.
I do not care about “rejection” from those who are either, incapable of appreciating what they are unable to realize the originality, quality, and significance of, or unable to create themselves, or by those who have certain typical expected requirements to have to accept or adhere to, in order to satisfy others.
I only care that I like my music and others who hear it may like it too. If they don’t it is their loss, not mine.

Elaborate on what compels you to sing.
I initially sang all vocals on my first album, the 2012 28 track debut “Thru Ever Ending Black”, intending them as guide tracks for a “proper” singer to then sing properly, but I ended up actually thinking my vocals were not too bad, so I kept them and continue to attempt them on every track I write so far.

Tell us the comparison between digital recording and analog recording.
So far I have only recorded digitally. I find it convenient to record guitar parts digitally, and then being able to change the sounds for those parts to any guitar sound I like.
Bass, drums, and vocals are recorded live but digitally also.
I think digital gives more options but analog, as in all old LP’s I grew up listening to, gives a more realistic and dynamic sound.
I hope to attempt analog recording in my next album.

Tell us how you record your vocals.
I always record vocals first, to a guide track, to make sure I can sing in that key before I lay down all other instrument tracks.
I usually sing one or two lines/sections at a time, until that part is as good as possible, then progress to the next part.
If I were a great singer, I would love to be able to record the whole song in one take. I’m no Freddie Mercury or Ronnie James Dio.

Tell us the software you used mostly for recording.
I have always used Cubase. I don’t have an in-depth knowledge of how to use it, just enough to put my ideas down and then bring them into the studio to add vocals to. I learn more every time I use it.
My engineer then takes care of the intricacies of the software and engineering while I take care of the performances.

Discuss the selling of CDs and the selling of digital files through digital stores.
My 28 track debut album was released on a 2 disk CD with 28- page color booklet, as well as digitally.
The problem with CDs is that firstly, you cannot fit more than 80 minutes on a CD, which I always have a problem with, by writing too many songs to fit on it, and secondly, physical sales have now been overtaken by streaming in the digital, immediate world we live in, so CDs are difficult to sell, which is a great shame.

Elaborate on the song.
“Wake Up, You’re Only Dreaming”, is the revolutionary, epic, paradigm-shifting single that Forever Disproves Defeats & Destroys the Heliocentric Spinning Globe Fairy-tale theory blind faith Religion, with verifiable empirical scientific facts. (Release date May 1st, 2019).
Download this song for FREE now when you pre-order the new 16 epic track album and opt into the mailing list at Bandcamp.
Taken from the upcoming 2nd Epic DJC album “The Greatest Ever Deception” (release date June 1st, 2019).
Music and words composed and written by David J Caron (C) 2018.
The worldwide awakening is underway and cannot be stopped.
It’s time to wake up, detach oneself from the mainstream media matrix of deception, realize the scientifically proven truth and accept it.
This important informative song needs to be heard by every human alive who is not already awakened and aware – Unless you prefer living a comfortable illusion lie. The eyes are useless if the mind is blind.
Will the mainstream media have the courage to play my song and/or video and risk further awakening humanity to “The Greatest Ever Deception or just ridicule it with clueless ignorance and cognitive dissonance as typically expected? Not only that, but it is insanely catchy!

Elaborate on your artist name and the title of the album.
My name is my artist name, David J Caron, although I also go by the initials DJC on the album’s artwork. My 2nd album’s title, due for release June 1st, 2019, is “The Greatest Ever Deception”, for the obvious reasons given above.
