Tell us everything will need to know about you.
I’m an artist based out of Minneapolis. Mainly known for my production, I’m also able to sing, rap and DJ.
State your favorite genre of music and your reason.
My favorite genre of music is hip hop. I love the variety it gives. You’ll hear anything from soul samples to trap. It also brings tons of great collaborations and creativity.
Tell us your experience as a musician.
I’ve been a musician for most of my life. I started out playing bass then worked my way to guitar and piano. Then eventually started producing my own beats.
Tell us the theme of your song.
The theme is pretty straightforward. One of those nights that you go out with your friends, girl, whatever and just have a good time. But every good time comes to an end. At that point, you’re just ready to go home.
Name the people behind your success and thank them on this platform.
I write, perform, record, and produce everything myself. I usually will go to DJ Unwind to do my mixes. He’s an awesome musician and has a real ear for mixing. He’s great to work with.
Tell us about your future goals.
Obviously, I’d like to keep moving forward with my music and see how far I can go. The more people that can hear me, the better.
Elaborate on how you think your music is inspiring your fans.
My music is very relatable. I have lyrics about subjects that most of us go through, and I think that people really can relate to that.
Explain the changes you have observed so far in the music industry.
The changes are constant. They can be both good and bad. But I think if you are able to keep an open mind, the progression is inspiring. Artists are always trying to make new sounds. And for me personally, I love to hear music with originality.
State the artists you cherish most and your reason.
So many artists. But there are a few that come to mind. Kanye West, Outkast, and Eminem. For Kanye and Outkast, I just love their originality. They make music that they want to make. They make music most people wouldn’t think would work and somehow, make an amazing sound out of it. Eminem for his lyricism. He’s unreal. His play on words is incredible.
Give us the links to your social network and stores.
Elaborate on how you develop your lyrics.
I just sit down and try to expand my mind. Sometimes lyrics come to me really quick. Especially if I got something on my mind. But sometimes lyrics can be a struggle. Just depends on what’s going on with me at the time I guess.
Tell us if you enjoy collaborating with other artists or just singing as a solo artist.
I like to do both. Collaborations can be fun and creative. But also working alone can be the same. It all just depends on the project I’m working on.
Brief us your opinion on making music that makes people dance or making the kind of music with a genuine message that inspires them.
I like both styles. It’s always good to make a banger that everybody is going to dance to. But doing that all the time can be repetitive. That’s why I like to have a variety of music. Having fun tracks and having tracks with more meaning behind them is a great way to do that.
Tell us what you know about copyright.
I leave that to ASCAP and management.
Discuss the impact of a Performing Rights Organization.
It’s a good way to make sure all your music is properly taken care of.
Elaborate on how you develop your melody and instrumentation.
I’ll usually be inspired by other music. After listening to music for a couple of hours, I usually feel inspiration on what I want to develop next.
Go into detail on the recording process of this song.
I made the beat a while ago and put it aside as I worked on other projects. After a while, I got back around to it and decided to write lyrics to it. The lyrics came pretty quick. So after that, I laid the vocals down. I did some editing, then sent the track over to DJ Unwind to mix it.
Discuss your music performance.
I haven’t done much for live performances as an artist. I will do DJing at clubs here and there. I’m hoping to get more live performances this year.
