Based out of Fayetteville Ga, a small town just beyond the Metro-Atlanta outskirts, Jus Alex is influenced only by the good nature of the place he calls home.

I consider my genre to be conscious hip/hop. A secular form of rap that aims to enlighten and elevate the community.

“RW” tells a story of betrayal and my own overcome adversity through the story of Russell Westbrook and Kevin Durant.
Tell us about the problems you are facing as an artist.
As a hip-hop artist, I face a constant barrier to be heard amongst the music that caters to misogyny, drug use, and violence.

“Beatsinmybackpack” made the beat and I recorded the song with DCB audio and it was one of the most meaningful songs I recorded on my debut album “HOMER”

I’ve been writing music ever since I was 10 years old. I’ve done talent shows, open mics, and small crowd shows. My goal is to continue to pass a positive message and serve the betterment of my community.

God has told me that I have a message for the world.

I’ve put out one album; “Homer”, on September 27th, 2017. It’s a story of stories. I’ve never been recognized for any awards or gone on tour but I get tons of compliments on the production and songwriting ability of my album

I write all my songs on paper, usually in a notebook. I spend hours rehearsing before the studio performance and once I get to the studio I just do what I know.

Tell us about your happiest day and saddest day.
To signify the happiest day and saddest day would mean I love my days differently but in fact, I appreciate them all the same and in full, however, my most memorable moments are hearing the reactions of my listeners. Specifically hearing from a listener that he was in the hospital from an attempted suicide and it was my music that gave him hope.

“RW” is a metaphor that symbolizes a friendship that was ripped from my life due to the choices of a person I once called brother. “Naw it ain’t deep but all he did was pretend to be a friend”.

Music is in my blood. It’s been engraved in me since I was born. It’s divine. I was made for this.

I view old school music and new music with the same eyes. Everything has been recycled and the only difference is the trend of sound over time. As far as a personal preference I don’t have one, I listen to all eras of music

The day I had my official listening party for my debut album with my closes friends on my back patio.
