Name the artists that have influenced you so far.
I take influence from many artists really; I’ve got a big family and so grew up around a variety of different genres and artists, from Elvis Presley through to Cypress Hill, and still take influence from modern musicians like Jack Johnson and Ed Sheeran. I don’t think being influenced by others really stops when you’ve found your own vibe…there are always new ideas and styles coming out.
Mention the name of the artist you can regard as the “Greatest Of All Time”.
That’s a really tough one! I suppose it would have to be someone like Bob Marley, Jimi Hendrix, or Bob Dylan. You know, one of the real greats.
Tell us what you know about composition and how you normally go about it.
I’m one of those people who’s always jotting down lyrics and hooks on my phone, if I think of a line that I really like, I just keep singing it over in my head and building on top of it through the day until I get to my guitar and can put some music to it, and if it’s good enough it just snowballs from there really. I try to write as much as I can, it takes practice to write something good; you’ve got to get rid of the rubbish songs in your head before you stumble across a good one!
Tell us what you think about this song.
‘Feel The Rain’ is one of my favorites, I wrote it about 18 months ago and it was one of those that just snowballed, the lyrics just rolled out, and I get really into it and carried away when I’m performing it. It’s about being in a high-pressure situation, but working through it until the pressure goes and you ‘feel the rain’.
Rate the social media and tell us the platform that works best for you in promoting your music.
Facebook probably works best for me, although I think I prefer Instagram, I’m not really as active on Twitter as I could be, but I’m trying to get into it a bit more.
State the areas that need to be improved more in the music industry.
At the moment I think live music is really on the up, I keep seeing new open mic nights popping up all over the place, and so it’s so easy to get yourself out there and heard…there are so many opportunities for new artists, as new artists, we just need to look for them…opportunities won’t just knock on your door, it’s hard work!
Tell us about how you are getting your songs to stores as well as getting them to fans.
My music is available on all the normal platforms iTunes, Spotify, Apple Music, etc. And I’ve always got hard copies of the EP with me at gigs.
Tell us how you prepare yourself for a live performance or show.
I always get there early to give myself time to get comfortable in the venue and chat with the client. As long as I’ve done that then I know I’ll enjoy the gig, if I’m late and don’t get enough time before I go on, it takes me longer to warm up to the crowd. Nothing exciting I’m afraid, just straightforward and honest.
Tell us your opinion on releasing singles frequently or just an album in a while.
I think fans like new music frequently.
Mention the name of the artist you will be glad to see the live performance.
I saw The Beach Boys a few years back and that was incredible, and I’m a bit of a Barenaked Ladies fanboy, I will go and see them whenever they’re in the UK.
Tell us the theme of most of your songs.
It’s general day-to-day life, whether that is love, relationships, or being a musician.
Tell us about your recording process.
I record in a studio down in The Cotswolds, it’s in a beautiful setting so it’s always nice and relaxed. I love it and can’t wait to get back there!
Tell us how boring or exciting the music career can be.
My experience so far is that there’s never a boring day, I love my job, I’m constantly meeting new people, have new experiences, and getting new feedback to help me fine-tune my game.

State the title of the album and the reason for selecting the title.
The EP is also called ‘Feel The Rain’- it was a bit of a nod to the time and effort that went into the EP, from writing down the first lyric of the first song to holding the physical product in my hand.
