Tell us your view on old school and new school music in terms of preference.
I prefer old-school music slightly more. Overall I think old-school songs as a whole, had more substance than a lot of what’s put out today. Not to say there aren’t any artists who are socially conscious, I just feel old school music was based on that a bit more.

Tell us your most memorable day as an artist.
My most memorable day wasn’t necessarily a show or performance. It was a day of awakening. My most memorable day was the day I decided to begin making more commercial style/EDM music and change my brand up. This is when I was able to truly unlock my creativity and make the music I love. In real life I don’t really have a feminine style; I have a much more androgynous style. I thought my brand should reflect that more so I changed it.

Tell us what you would do for the people if you found yourself in a position of power.
I would try my best to rid people of oppression and eliminate as much corruption as possible. I’d hold those in charge to a much higher standard and expect them to be beyond reproach.

Tell us how you protect your singing voice.
I don’t sing much nowadays, but when I do feature myself on a track, I drink lots of tea, hot water with lemon and get rest leading up to the recording.

Tell us the major reason you are into music.
The main reason I’m into music is that I love the challenge of creating and it’s a great release. Whatever I may be going through or feeling, I can put it into my production or lyrics.

Tell us what you think about creativity and originality in music.
I think creativity and originality are so important. It’s so much more rewarding to dig deep within yourself and create than it is to simply copy another’s style. By doing this, you create your signature sound and develop your own imprint.

Tell us your future plans pertaining to music.
I plan to continue to make music and develop my sound. I would like to play more shows and eventually move onto festivals. I’d like to do this thing full-time, that’s my next goal.

Tell us the secret of success.
I think the key to success is allowing yourself to fail over and over again. You will hear a million “no’s” before you hear one “yes.” It’s important to just keep pushing ahead because that one “yes” can jumpstart your entire career.

Tell us how you become a musician.
From the time I was a child, I loved music. I’ve always had a natural knack for writing and creating melodies. By the time I was 18, I decided I’d learn to produce music, haven’t looked back since. Honestly just started winging productions and lyrics until I got the hang of things.

Tell us what makes you happy and sad about this project.
I’m happy with the lyricism, vocals, and dark beauty of this song project. The sad thing about the song is the inspiration and origin. That will be forever. I am reminded of the inspiration every time I listen to it, which makes me appreciate life even more.

Tell us your point of view on rape and sexual harassment, and how it can be eradicated.
Both are heinous, inexcusable crimes. The only way to eradicate these things is for people to speak up when it happens along with the people committing these crimes to be punished. The punishment should be to the full extent of the law and they should be banished from their respective field. There’s no place for it, it’s a shame it’s taken this long for it to be brought to the forefront.

List the people that deserved to be given credit for the making of the song.
I am responsible for the production as well as the lyrics for this track. Regarding the vocals, I used an excellent session singer, and bass was played live by Charles Berthoud, who is absolutely excellent…

Tell us how you get funds to run your music career.
I work in public service in San Francisco so I use my profession to fund my passion.

Tell us the genre of your music and the reason you decided to go for this genre.
My music spans from commercial pop to all different mixes of EDM. The aforementioned are my favorite genres. I believe I have more creative freedom producing EDM/Pop. I can mix/match genres more often.

Tell us if you prefer to write your own songs or you prefer to write with professional songwriters.
I prefer to write my own songs. Each song tells a little story, that’s the fun in it.

Tell us if you prefer to produce your songs or you prefer to work with reputable producers.
I much prefer to produce my own music. At times, I will hire session guitarists, bassists, or violinists to add a live instrument.

Tell us the story behind this song.
I work in public service in the city of San Francisco. Here, I’ve come upon many unfortunate scenes of suicide and despair. This song is just my little take on suicide from my perspective as a worker. It’s a release of things I’ve seen and experienced.

Tell us your favorite brand of microphone.
Rode. You get a clear sound and they last forever.
